The GOP and Racism, Yet Again
NRO ^ | 23 nov2012 | Jonah Goldberg

Posted on 11/23/2012 6:34:03 AM PST by rellimpank

If the GOP wants to win more black votes, it will need to get a lot more “racist.”

The scare quotes are necessary because I don’t think the Republican party is racist now (and, historically, the GOP has a lot less to answer for than the Democratic party does). But that hasn’t stopped a lot of people from slandering Republicans as racist for one reason or another. Right now, many in Washington — particularly the leadership of the Congressional Black Caucus — insist that Republican attacks on U.N. ambassador Susan Rice are racist and, yawn, sexist. The basis for this claim is that some Republicans are calling Rice unfit for the soon-to-be-vacated job of secretary of state. More specifically, they’re cross with Rice for what they contend to be her dishonest and incompetent handling of the Benghazi scandal.

she can’t be incompetent. She is a black woman, and therefore qualified for any govt position.

Liberals losing or not having any talking points ARE subtly reaching out for racism or a racist ideology. Because when running out of arguments because of foolishness, that is what cowards do, their real racist colors come out.

Not just qualified. She is highly qualified and superior to all others whose resume is 10 times as thick and 10 times as rich.

In and of itself, when a black woman is caught stupid, what else is she going to do other than pointing fingers at whitey because he is white. They are the racists who will not only use the race card, but hold racist epithets and values against whomever disagrees with their statements.

The term “racism” was invented by communists. Leon Trotsky was one of the first to use it. When whites engage in favoritism toward other whites (and therefore discrimination against non-whites), it’s called “racism”. When other groups engage in favoritism, it’s called “ethnic solidarity”. When you buy into these word games, it’s called being a useful idiot.

“If the GOP wants to win more black votes...”

Never happen.

The entire Republican Party of the United States could stand on its head and whistle The Star Spangled Banner out its *ss, and it’ll never get the Black vote.

Black people have proved beyond any shadow of a doubt that they’ll only vote for a Marxist candidate who will stand for Black entitlements and send the bill to White America.

Republicans, meanwhile, in their quest for Black votes have consistently either done so or allowed the Democrats to get away with it, with the American economy taking a nose dive accordingly.

Going after black votes is a waste of time - there just are not that many of them.
Hispanic votes, on the other hand...
Too bad the Hispanics are a wedded to the “Free Stuff” party as the Blacks...

“Going after black votes is a waste of time - there just are not that many of them.”

True; there should be the same outreach to them as there is for anyone else (low taxes, smaller gov’t., etc.); anything else isn’t worth the return (which to date has been negligible, despite historic levels of pandering and hiring of tokens).

When the Republicans have a really good black candidate, they don’t fully back them. There are Republican blacks out there that have high qualifications, but as soon as they appear the MSM is ready to do the bidding of the DNC and will do anything to destroy them before they become a threat. I’m in Florida, I saw what the MSM and the DNC can do and what the RNC didn’t do..

95% of blacks (the ones who voted for O’Bozo) can go to Hades as far as I m concerned.
And they can take their white arse kissers with them.

I am tired of hearing the charge of Racism thrown at whites everytime something is said or done that offends a racist black.

When they get off their lard butts, stop mooching, stop profiting off racism and start carying their own weight they might deserve to be taken seriously.

Until then, they are just background noise and a waste of the life force.

This foolish, childish phase of black skin worship that western culture is going through will not last forever.
And when society does come to its senses reason will once again prevails.
When that happens the black moocher class will fall back to earth and it won’t be a gentle landing.

I agree. We should have backed Herman Cain to the hilt. His message was simplistic but it was better than Obama’s. He could have split the black vote and that might have done the trick. Whatever he did with the “other woman” was small potatoes and we could have overcome it.

I don’t know whether she’s really incompetent or not, but the only thing better than a black woman (from a government perspective) is a black lesbian. I believe in equal treatment under the law. That means government should turn a blind eye toward race. In fact, I find it offensive that government wants to categorize me by the color of my skin. That probably makes me a racist.

Goldberg’s purpose here to solidify the notion that only whites can be “racist” therefore easily cowed by the establishment. Well I have news for the hack, the only “racism” from our decrepit establishment is that of the anti-white variety.

Black people have proved beyond any shadow of a doubt that they’ll only vote for a Marxist candidate who will stand for Black entitlements and send the bill to White America.

Too true , how else do you explain the scorn people like Clarence Thomas, Herman Cain , Allen West and any other black conservative receives. If you recall Colin Powell was treated with scorn under the Bush administration, since he's "come out" as a liberal the MSM now embraces him.

Republicans, meanwhile, in their quest for Black votes have consistently either done so or allowed the Democrats to get away with it, with the American economy taking a nose dive accordingly.

Whenever we try to play the progressive race game we get slaughtered. We can't out pander the liberals, so they detest us, and our own base gets (rightfully) disgusted and stays home in droves.
