Cain was the one I was praying for. He was intelligent, knew the economy and was personable. He would have neutralized the race card that 0bozo delt from the bottom of the deck. That's why Husein's dirty tricks brigade had to take him out quick before he could gain momentum. Much as I supported Cain , he wasn't a politician. I think he wasn't prepared for the absolute mud wrestling that makes up a modern campaign, especially at the federal level. He wasn't a great candidate, but I believe he'd have been an inspiring President.
You are correct.
Of course the GOP by and large runs around in circles every time the word is thrown out or lays prostrate all because of a word that has no agreed upon definition and that is used mainly by those who are anti-white and support non white race groups.
“I am tired of hearing the charge of Racism thrown at whites everytime something is said or done that offends a racist black.”
An excellent post.
You are bold, but you are right.
There can be only one way for conservatives and Republicans to respond to charges of “racism”. That is to simply ignore the accusations, no matter how loudly they cry and no matter how many are howling them.
Here is the predictable pattern, repeated EVERY time:
1. A conservative or Republican (or any Euro-American) says something that either has to do with racial relations, or is perceived to be unpleasant or offensive by a non-Euro (most often a black, but not limited to blacks alone).
2. The charge of “racism” is immediately raised against the person who made the original comment.
3. The person who made the comment tries to deflect the accusation with the reply that he/she “is not a racist” (many, many times I’ve seen exactly those words from many right in this forum).
With that, the conservative or Republican (or any Euro-American) has lost the argument. And they do it again and again and again and again.
One you respond with “I’m not a racist”, you have effectively surrendered, because now the accuser is not only in control of the dialogue, but has _changed_ the dialogue. It is no longer about the merits of your original assertion, but has been successfully changed to be about YOU, and your “racism” (denied or not).
The way for conservatives and Republicans to change the game, is to stop PLAYING the game. We’ve been playing in their field for the last five decades, and losing by the calls of their referees.
Let’s force them to play on our field for a change.
Because Republicans NEVER fight back against the charges of racism, people go ahead and assume that they must be true.
Excellent post!
Thank you for such a clear summary of a complex situation.
You are exactly right in your analysis of the word tricks liberals/racists use to demonize good people and move discussions from substance to personal attacks.
Remember when the Clintons used to whine about “Ending the politics of personal destruction”?
Of course that was when the subject matter was Bill’s sexual predation and Hillary’s illegal financial maneuverings.
Actually, they're not, if you look at the voting patterns of Hispanics in this past election. Sure, a majority of Hispanics voted for Obama, but it was a BARE majority, and Romney got more votes from Hispanics in some areas of the country. They do not vote in lockstep like black voters do.
Actually, there is a way for the Republican party to make sharp inroads into the Hispanic vote:
1. Stand strong against amnesty. Several polls have established that a 2-to-1 majority of legal Hispanics are against amnesty. And why shouldn't they be? The legals are Americans -- they either earned their citizenship the hard way...or they were born here and many of their families have been here for hundreds of years. Many also compete for work with illegals -- who undercut their wages.
2. Engage in serious outreach to those Hispanics who share our conservative values. Understand that organizations like La Raza do not represent the majority of Hispanics. And understand that we do not have to gain a majority of the Hispanic vote in order to win an election. Here in Texas, for example, two of the leading Hispanic legislators have switched to the Republican party because "the national Democratic party does not represent the values of Hispanic families". The door is open to recruit those Hispanics who do not approve of government dependence. All we have to do is make an honest try among the conservative segment of the legal population -- we con't have to pander to the radicals and the illegals.
Well, that is more hope than I’ve heard in a long time.
>> Right now, many in Washington particularly the leadership of the Congressional Black Caucus insist that Republican attacks on U.N. ambassador Susan Rice are racist and, yawn, sexist.
Along with Chris Matthews and his ilk. The true racists.
Regrettable it’s necessary to mention that Bush appointed Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice.
