This trend toward part time jobs is also fueling the growth of crowd-sourcing sites, from contract work sites like odesk.com to local task based sites like taskrabbit. People with irregular work schedules can only earn extra money consistently by joining the online crowd and taking work that is available when they are.

Nobody else has mentiond that a 30 hour workweek will now become the new Full-time normal.

Unions are drooling at the thought of that xtra overtime.

This number didn’t happen by accident

I wonder how many doctors will go along with being turned into servants of the socialist government. Doctors will no longer be working for themselves, and they will no longer be working for their patients. Physician services will be simply be a perk that grinning socialist politicians dole out in order to stay in power. Inevitably, doctors will be paid less and less to provide care. Inevitably, doctors will not be permitted to provide the best care they can, since reducing cost will always trump quality of care. Inevitably, Sarah Palin's "death panels" will become commonplace.

Perhaps doctors should be called something else. Their name should be changed to reflect their new status. Instead of "doctors" we should start calling them "Obamaperks."

"Gotta bad headache, made an appointment to see my Obamaperk. He had an opening in March."
