ALTAMONTE SPRINGS --
A Land O' Lakes woman's holiday weekend got off to a rough start.
According to officials, Samantha Chavez, 28, was arrested at a Walmart in Altamonte Springs. Police said the Land O'Lakes resident was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
Officers said Chavez was seen approaching the crowded checkout lines. She attempted to bypass the long lines and walk past the officer controlling the lines.
Chavez said she was trying to find her sister-in-law and explained what happened a different way.
"I came back and the lines kind of moved and I couldnt find her. Her cellphone wasnt working, the battery had died. This cops in front of me and hes like 'no you cant go, you need to go the other way,' said Chavez. Im like 'Im just looking for my sister' and hes like no you have to go that way Im like but shes here, I need to find her.
The officers told her she needed to follow the flow of checkout lines. Chavez looked at the officer said OK and then again attempted to physically walk past the officer redirecting her. Chavez was told several more times to get in line but police said she refused and began screaming causing a larger scene and disturbing other customers.
Officer said they attempted to escort Chavez out of the store, when she began throwing the items she was carrying on the floor and pulling away from the officer.
Ive never been in that situation. And for him to have me on the floor with all his body weight on me was very, very traumatic. I was yelling, screaming, saying I didnt do anything; I just want to go home; Please let me go," Chavez described.
Several officers were working detail at Walmart during the incident and several more responded to the call.
Chavez was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting an officer without violence. She was released from the Seminole County Jail at about 4:20 a.m. Friday on $550 bond.
And they took me out and they arrested me for nothing in my opinion. for nothing. I didnt push on him, did not use foul language. I did not do anything for this to end up the way it did, said Chavez.
The viewer who sent in the video said Chavez was just scared. She was looking for her sister-in-law at the store.
There was always something kind of slippery about her, wasn’t there?
I was going to post the same thing, but it looks like you beat me by a slim margarin.
Whip ‘er butt!
I know what she does with those knees.
Guilty as sin.
was she just trying to leave when she was arrested?
is that her story?
was she carrying an item?
I never did trust her.
Well, she told me she was unsalted. :(
She was until the cop assaulted her.
Stories like this churn my stomach.
At least she was only lightly salted.
Hahahaa that’s great!
So glad you all posted Indian lady, my 1st thought! LOL
Well, she does look totally confused and flumoxed. That raised eyebrow has to stand for something!
I’m gonna say, “not guilty”.
Don’t worry, she will get off, she should have no trouble “buttering up” the judge. B-D
If her sister in law was truly in line, I would think the sister in law would have been there raising cain for this woman. I did not see anyone coming to her defense.
Many shoppers team up in these crazy greed-mobs - one gets in line to hold the place and the other runs around with the list picking up stuff, so her story could be true. Maybe that is what she was doing.
Or...maybe she was just cutting in line and got caught. It’s best to yeild to police officers and not try to barrel them over, at any rate. Thank God he did not shoot her or toture her with a tazer or shoot her kid or her dog.
One thing is for sure. When police officers run things these days, all common sense is guarenteed to go out the door. Many are a true reflection of the loss of manners (mutual respect), virtues and love in our society. The benefit of the doubt no longer applies to police officers these days.
She deserved it for those hideously overplucked and penciled on lashes.
I was like...
And he was like....
And I was like...
And he was like...

A real intellectual giant, that woman is!
[can I go back and delete it?]
Ohhhhhh....this is gonna be a punny thread.
[butter get my act together or I’ll be magarinalized]
Nah...just go back and re-read what I posted...you missed my pun ;-)
I could feel you thinking it but knew you were too busy to hunt it down and post it.
I know that look...it’s....The Eyebrow Of Anarchy!
Lock ‘er up!
[sorry...getting silly watching Madagascar 2]
/slaps self upside the head
Escorting the lady WITH her unpaid purchases, all out the door? Why wasn’t she “like,” “yes sir” and just go?
I always assumed she was an amputee.
Have you ever seen the rest of her legs?
A member of the Stumpsawi tribe.
or perhaps whip butt ‘er???
You know, I think it's the quality of green that counts ...
In spite of all of the “likes” in this story....not much love.
Drugs or alcohol. Clear from her eyes and expression.
I figured I’d leave you with that little pat and spread some amusement around.
[this whole butter thing has drawn out too long]
