Likud Primaries: Rain could Wash Away Meridor
Arutz Sheva ^ | 24/11/12 | Gil Ronen

Rain is forecast for many parts of Israel Sunday, and this has supporters of Binyamin Netanyahu worried. They believe that a downpour would favor Netanyahu's nemesis within Likud, Moshe Feiglin, in Sunday's Likud primaries, and endanger the political future of Likud "prince" Dan Meridor.

Feiglin's supporters within Likud are considered to be a highly organized and dedicated group, in comparison with the average Likud member. Common political wisdom says that when a vote is held in unfavorable weather, it is the more dedicated and organized group that benefits.

Netanyahu's people are concerned that Feiglin will attain a position on the list that would allow him into the Knesset. Analysts estimate that Feiglin's chances to enter the next Knesset are very good.

The Netanyahu camp also fears that veteran minister Dan Meridor will receive an unrealistic placement. Meridor is considered a Likud "prince" along with other sons and daughters of Likud leaders, like Benny Begin and Limor Livnat. He is very close to former Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch and is probably the cabinet's most leftist...

"A day of rain is as great as the First Day of Creation."

Tractate Taanit, 2A.

Dan Meridor's grandaddy Yaakov Meridor escaped from British captivity and exile so this shmuck can wear his last name like a crown? Fie! Out upon the rogue.

The more I read about Moshe Feiglin, the more I like. And apparently Netanyahu is scared of him, enough to try and bar him from the Knesset. Some selected bits that caught my eye.

“Feiglin has been on public record supporting the willful transfer of Arab citizens of Israel who do not accept Jewish sovereignty over the state. This emigration would be encouraged with financial incentives.”

(I am a big fan of this idea before I ever heard of him.)

“Of Israeli Arabs, Feiglin said, “They will have to seek the right to self-determination in Arab states. Israel will encourage the Arabs to emigrate to their countries and assist any Arab who wishes to do so,” Feiglin was quoted as saying. He insisted there is no such thing as a Palestinian people and that they and Israeli Arabs should relocate.”

“He spoke of “a voluntary transfer to the 22 neighboring Arab states” of the some 1.4 million Israeli Arabs, who make up 20 percent of Israel’s population. “Arabs don’t live in the desert, they create it,” he was quoted as saying.”

“Feiglin has proposed a plan to end the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. His plan would include annexing the Palestinian territories after using much of the internal military budget projected for the next 10 years to offer every Palestinian family in these areas $250,000 as an incentive to emigrate to other countries. Feiglin pointed to a poll by An-Najah University in Nablus, which showed that one in three Palestinian Arabs would emigrate to other countries even without a financial incentive, as supporting his plan. Feglin also proposed that Israel actively encourage Israeli-Arabs to emigrate to the Arab world, and provide assistance to any Arab who chooses to do so.”

“(His organization) was started to “return the country to the people and lead the State of Israel through authentic Jewish values”. The movement believes Israelis deserve a chance to learn about their historical and spiritual past and that Jewish values should be taught in the nation’s schools.”

“Feiglin has demanded that Israeli schools stop teaching the Arab view of the history of Israel, such as describing the creation of the State of Israel as a disaster (nakba in Arabic).”

I was for that idea, too. But I thought the American Southwest or the Western Canadian wilderness might do better. The former has a similar climate to what they’re used to, and already has vast tracts of dessert, and the Western Canadian wilderness might be formidable enough to get their minds off Jihad. Plus, far away from other muzzies, they might just decide to chuck their insane beliefs and just be.

Not going to happen, as though Islam has a multitude of factions, many of which are inimical to the others, it is standardized enough to maintain its primitivism.

A big factor in its internal cohesion, at least for the Sunni, is that the vast majority of clergy are trained in Wahhabi madrassas in Pakistan. This insures that even if a particular sect of Islam is more moderate, they will get a radical religious leader who will actively push their children to radicalism.

They are also firm believers in several things that advantage them: ghettoism instead of integration; and “maximized parasitism” of any government poverty funds or largess (seen in Britain, where families will import their extended family members and enroll them all in every government handout program they can find, consuming far more per capita than the non-Muslim poor.)

Then, as has been observed around the world, the percentage of Muslims in an area bears a direct relation to their level of offensiveness and efforts to suborn and dominate others. When they are few, they are fairly present, but with each incremental increase, 5% of the population, 10% of the population, etc., they become increasingly demanding and obnoxious.

And this is not just directed at their “hosts”. At the start, when they are few, many are in effect “refugees” from Islam, fleeing its oppression in other lands to seek liberalism. But as the numbers of Muslims increase, so too does their enforcement of oppression on those who had tried to flee it.

While many of these things are Islamic, like demands for Sharia, many are not Islamic per se, such as “honor killings”, female circumcision, forcing women to be increasingly covered and eventually kept at home, only allowed out with escorts; yet they are all permitted in Islam, and encouraged to “maintain internal discipline”.

The end result, over time, is either ruthless dictatorship by a warlord/strongman, or Taliban-style whimsical murderous anarchy. Priority to violence and oppression of the non-Muslims in their midst.

There is no grace to be found within Islam. No real reformation or liberalism. The most brutish and violent Muslim will bully and force his will on the others, while being seen as a “better, more religious” Muslim. Those who rise up in favor of moderation are either shouted or beaten down.

Containment is an option. When forced to live with themselves instead of allowed to emigrate, they have little option other than brutalitarian regimes. It is their bed, so they should sleep in it. If they cannot stand it, then once they leave, they should leave Islam behind and adopt a new style of living.

But to flee brutalitarianism, yet seek to keep its faith, just does not fly. If Muslims want the benefits of liberalism, they must lose the baggage of Islam to achieve it, or they just bring their infection with them.
