Moonbats’ remorse
Boston Herald ^ | 11/25/2012 | Howie Carr

Posted on 11/25/2012 4:34:50 AM PST by tobyhill

Sin in haste, repent at leisure.

One of the few silver linings in the dark cloud of Obama’s re-election is that millions of moonbats and Beautiful People who voted this month to continue our long national nightmare are now discovering, much to their chagrin, that they’re as screwed as all the “bitter clingers” who still go to church on Sunday.

Not that it was any big secret, but it’s asking an awful lot of the dumbed-down modern electorate to pay attention to its own best interests.

Of course tens of millions of Obama’s votes came from the people he likes to describe as “working families,” most of whom aren’t families and almost none of whom have worked since Lyndon Johnson. This is the freebies-for-freeloaders crowd. Think the Obamaphone woman in Cleveland.

Mitt Romney used to say they lived in “Kennedy country.” Then he called them the 47 percent. Now he says they like “gifts.”

I know, the liberals tut-tut that the gimme girls ’n’ guys pay taxes too — the sales tax, mainly, on cigarettes and their 40-ouncers. Their theme song is from “West Side Story”: “America,” as in “Everything free in America.”

But as strange as it seems, a plurality of Obama voters probably have real jobs, some even in the Dreaded Private Sector. Man, are they in dire straits.

Take the instructors at Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh.

Their hours are being cut back so the college can get around Obamacare. All you teachers, hope you enjoy being adjunct professors, because you ain’t getting tenure anytime soon. Wonder who they all voted for on Nov. 6?

Talking to one of them the other day about the glories of Obamacare. This is my area of professional specialty and I do know a good deal about it. He said (a) I didn’t know what I was talking about, and (b) it was going to be wonderful, fabulous, etc. I pointed out all the flaws and problems, and he just shook his head in incomprehension. Obama did this wonderful thing for us, but I was still ungrateful? If Obamacare wasn’t perfect, that was just because the mean Republicans weren’t willing to spend enough on it.

Ask them what student loans have to do with healthcare. The bill took over the student loan system in the country except, as I recall, one bank in the upper midwest that is an Obama donor. They look at you stupidly because they have no idea what this means.

Howie Carr is a good man, but he may be whistling past the graveyard.

There are many stupid people who are too stupid to know that they’re stupid. Caught in a dork loop.

But there ARE some Obamugabe supporters who will suffer in the coming days because of their hero’s policies. I will not feel sorry for them—like the teachers at that school in Pennsylvania Carr cited.

I know some at my work, too, who are members of the Obamugabe Cult. They’ll pay a price. And sympathy? Not from me.

Now the limousine liberals in Congress are clamoring that they may have to “revisit” Obamacare, to stop all these evil corporations (and nonprofits) from switching everybody from employee to contractor.

Which just means that U.S. companies will stop hiring, period. Except for the manufacturers, who’ll just outsource even more of their production to China.

Darn that law of unintended consequences! Guess they'll have to pass a law outlawing that! Or maybe Dear Leader will write another Executive Order banning it...

Just wait until that extra $4000 per family is sucked out of the private economy and sent into the black hole known as Washington. The biggest losers will be car dealers, appliance and furniture manufacturers, recreational vehicles, restaurants and the vacation industry. When things get tight people put off major purchases, travel less and don’t eat out as often. Those industries employee millions of people in America. And the drop in employment and economic activity will ensure that the government gets far less with its tax increases than the static models are predicting. The government will get a bigger percentage of a smaller pie and end up with less money in real terms.

I’ve got FB libs who are complaining that eeeevil republican business owners are only announcing layoffs because they are sore losers and having a tantrum.

One liberal suggested they “need to be stopped”

There is no limit to a liberal’s ability to blindly blame others for the failures of their own.

Moonbats embrace their contradictions with glee.

We have a liberal relative who owns his own business. He cheerfully described to us recently how he found this great accountant years ago who is "so creative" in hiding tons of income, and therefore his tax burden is a lot lower than most. He says it is "just remarkable" what that account can do with his shop's income.

He also pays all of his employees (there are 6 of them) as "contractors" which he proudly announced saves him the workers comp tax, FICA portion, etc. And, he's not worried about Obamacare. He says it will be a big bonus for him because his personal premiums will be going down next year.

Schadenfreude baby! I just have to smile every time I think about all of those Obama voters getting stuck with the bill for their "free" Obamacare while getting their pay cut by 25%.

He mentions that George Bush “Miss me yet” sign. I wonder how many Obama college students will get a similar message next year, but with their conservative parents’ picture attached when it comes time to pony up for tuition to the indoctrination centers we call college?

You’re right. Seems to be primarily the women I know. I guess they think with body parts other than their brains.

And yes, I’m female.

Exactly right in #29.

This diabolical plan could be thwarted with a nonconformist press. Unfortunately...

That close family member must be a real idiot! Of course I have one of my own, an IQ genius with a college degree whose lifetime accomplishments rival those of the average third grader of my generation. Naturally he watches MSNBC and thinks Obama is going to give him “universal healthcare”. I suspect he will be dead and buried before he ever realizes that he has spent his life refusing to deal with reality in any way.

—— an IQ genius with a college degree whose lifetime accomplishments rival those of the average third grader of my generation. ——

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race” ~ Calvin Coolidge (30th President of the US, 1923-1929)

There is a reason why leftists mock Coolidge. He was right.

Sounds like Zero, huh? /spit

THere is a significant portion of the electorate that takes the strategy of eenie-meenie-minie-moe with them into the voting booth.

Jerks. It’s one thing for me to suffer as a result, I can deal with that. But having it affect my kids, and their kids yet unborn is a crime (should be a capital crime).

I will say I have experienced some very strange reactions from my liberal friends. Not triumph, not even cheap gloating, more like apprehension.

It is, and always has been, the media. The average TV-besotted American will do absolutely anything to get that rush of validation from the media. They will be happy if they're told they're happy and be angry at anyone the celebrities they worship decide is to blame for anything. Orwell's "Two Minutes' Hate" was an underestimate.

Even within this classification there are gradations. Americans besotted with NPR consider themselves a cut above those besotted with America Idol or The New Normal, although oddly enough - mirabile dictu! - they vote the same way. And have the same class enemies, us.

But they have to know what's coming, at least in some visceral, animal sense such as when cattle smell the coming snow. And I no longer talk politics to them, at all. Only economics. It makes for some short conversations and some really frightened looks. They know what's coming and they voted for it anyway.

Many companies held off for the election to layoff manpower because they didn't want
to be the focus of the MSM as trying to sway the election. But it seems that either way
there must be someone to blame accept for those in the GOV causing the instability.

Reminds me of when companies started cutting out middle management to stay alive.
The money will dry up and even the teachers will feel it, finally.
So we have at least two more years of liberal ignorance before
the full implosion. 14% will soon be the new norm.
