I heard sales were up today, well I know damn well that here in my house wer;re looking at the worst Christmas money wise we’ve had since we;ve bene married for 17 years and with 3 young kids.

How can sales be up if more in poverty, more on food stamps, less working.?

Are millions cashing in on welfare but working under the table or something, I don;t get it

Who believes the numbers? It is all Pravda all the time now. I read something here over that weekend that sales were up 1.8% over last year but that year to year inflation was 2%——so by that measure sales were flat/off. And who believes that inflation in the last year was only 2%.

Come January, after everyone maxes out their credit cards, this slight upswing will take a dump. I have a hard time believing anything the media says about the economy anyway, good or bad.
