They may be able to now fight a WWII type of war..
BUT under water(submarine) drones.. could put a kink in their plans..
While searching for F22 sorties.. they may get a surprise they didnt expect..
not overlooking limpet(style) drones invading their harbors..
Probably the chinese carriers are just PR programs.. anyway..

Only 90 years after the West did it. Or 101, depending on how you define “aircraft carrier.”

"China's military ambitions are now aided by the landing of its first fighter jet on an aircraft carrier."
I don't see what the fuss is about, if China just now landed its first fighter jet on an aircraft carrier. Their first fighter jet would have been back about the time of the Korean War. I will start worrying when they land some of their more recent models.

No catapult? Looks like an oversized British jumpjet carrier.

Just wondering how many aircraft we have landed on carriers in say the last 24 hours.

OK, China's best pilot succeeded in landing a jet on an aircraft carrier once in a row.
That makes them only, what, 50-60 years behind in conventional military capability now?
It will be tough to project power when you have to keep moving around the one Chinese pilot who has landed on a carrier to use his skills.

“China’s military ambitions are now aided by the landing of its first fighter jet on an aircraft carrier.”
And the other 99 pilots who tried landed below the waterline.

The PLAN will find the world of carrier aviation has a very steep and deadly learning curve. Chinese pilots will come to know the sheer terror of a night carrier landing in combat conditions on a pitching deck. This is the one evolution that scares our Naval Aviators the most — as it should.
