Just bumps in the road. Nothing to see here.

After all, 64,000,000 American Citizens that Voted for Obama / Biden can’t be wrong.

For the people that got laid off who Voted Obama, I hope you choke on it.

To the rest, welcome to the Tyranny of the Majority.

Yes, but I haven’t been able to tease out how many of those are since 11/6, or how many are in the US. Although I have included some international numbers on the “USA catches cold the rest of the world gets pneumonia” theory, I’m trying for a hard start date.

Not disclosing what business my husband is in (he is a FReeper), but his company is dependent on the biomedical industry. One of the companies in that list is a customer of the company my husband works for. As you can imagine, we are a little concerned in our house. My husband joked tonight that maybe we should go apply for food stamps and stockpile. At least I think he was joking ;)

....and the next jobs report should be a real doozy...

Yep. My number is way low. These are only the ones I've been able to document.

I don't count a single person from the nearly 500 businesses that disappeared, and I've only got the smallest fraction of the businesses that actually did die on that list, they're only the ones that made the local news and somehow got noticed nationally.

I'm guessing we're looking at maybe a cruel quarter million newly minted "funemployed" since the election.

Remember the December BLS report won't capture most of them, as they stop counting on the 13th of each month.

January should be a sight to behold.

Followed soon after by the first paychecks of the year with all the new taxes taken out...

For all those workplaces that were thick with BO supporters, do you think they've told their staff the full impact of these policies? Not a peep, huh?

An acquaintance’s wife had her own business as a consultant writing medical plans for self insured companies. After obamacare passed she lost 60% of her clients. After the election she lost the rest.

99,000 ain’t much. Reminds me of a guy in a small town in Arkansas who was crying the blues because his wife had left him. His friend finally got enough and said “Man, why are you cryin’ over her? She’s slept with everyone in town.”

The guy replied “Well, this is a small town.”
