Mitt Romney: A good man. The right fight.(Look at THIS BS)!
The Washington ComPost ^ | November 28 2012 | By Stuart Stevens

Stuart Stevens was the chief strategist for the Romney presidential campaign.

Over the years, one of the more troubling characteristics of the Democratic Party and the left in general has been a shortage of loyalty and an abundance of self-loathing. It would be a shame if we Republicans took a narrow presidential loss as a signal that those are traits we should emulate.

I appreciate that Mitt Romney was never a favorite of D.C.’s green-room crowd or, frankly, of many politicians. That’s why, a year ago, so few of those people thought that he would win the Republican nomination. But that was indicative not of any failing of Romney’s but of how out of touch so many were in Washington and in the professional political class. Nobody liked Romney except voters. What began in a small field in New Hampshire grew into a national movement. It wasn’t our campaign, it was Romney. He bested the competition in debates, and though he was behind almost every candidate in the GOP primary at one time or the other, he won the nomination and came very close to winning the presidency.

Ageed, I;m stunned that even on here some forget the massive voter fraud which took place, The Chicago machine with Holder had 4 years of corruption and time to rig an election.

If anyone had time they would look up where all the fraud was and yes it happened in those swong states in those Dem counties.

Col West showed us how republican votes were not counted, how they stayed open down ehre for two days and never checked ID which was against state law, bags of votes being found in corners of a room, votes with illegals dead etc being counted

All the fraud and which lost us the election came in those Dem counties

after watching him over the course of the campaign I have come to believe he is a decent man.

Not much of a standard for judging what is decent inside of a man is it?

Shouldn't you look at what the man believed and taught, what he devoted his life to advancing in the public sphere, his politics, his political agenda, his legacy, the vile causes that he has devoted his fortune and life to?

never mattered who we had as the voter fraud which took place in Dem counties always had obama as the winner.

Hell look at the Dem county in FL which suddenly found another bag of votes sitting in the corner or never checking ID for illegals to vote, or dead people voting, or others voting more than once.

If we had a dream ticket we would have still lost, the Chicago machine had 4 years to rig this election with the help of Holder.

Does anyone seriously think we will win in 2016 if we do not stop this fraud?

Maybe if you had an ounce of self-control and read the whole piece you might see how right Newt is and you might get over the chip on your shoulder regarding Romney.

We lost because of a "perfect storm" described thusly:

Obama turned those problems into advantages and rode that strategy to victory. But he was a charismatic African American president with a billion dollars, no primary and media that often felt morally conflicted about being critical. How easy is that to replicate?

When someone to the left of Bill Clinton can register republican in 1993 and 19 years later be the party’s nominee for President——

while still campaigning against the party’s platform for being pro-life, call for homosexual Scout leaders and a gay military——

and his only political accomplishments in a single term in elective office, being that he gave the nation gay marriage and Romney Care, and appointed 75% non-republican judges-—

then something is wrong within the republican system.

The personality of Romney is responsible for his campaign’s systematic approach to overcoming systemic challenges in the election.

He was after all running as an experienced executive for an executive position.

GO AWAY!

It truly pains me to have been bested in a battle of wits, by a relative newcomer such as yourself. Congratulations.

The article is right on. This is the campaign Romney ran, and which republicans are considering retreating from.

Don’t know why anyone would criticize this article, he is arguing against a retreat to the left.

The ONLY way to get control from GOP-e and the RINOs and WIN decisivly is to get a Modern Re-incarnation of Lee Atwater(the LAST GOP Consultant who KICKED ASS) and FIGHT JUST AS LOW-DOWN AND DIRTY AS THE DEMS DO!

Romney ran an anti illegals, pro free market, anti Obamacare, anti tax, pro military campaign. He even criticized the takers. Why any of you would reject a defense of that campaign is beyond me. This article is calling on republicans to man up. Good idea.

Romney was the most libertarian candidate that republicans have ever run.

Really? What were his libertarian policies? Was is the part where he banned semi auto guns? Was is the where he forced people at gun point to buy health insurance? How about where he took all that government money for the olympics? Global warming? Really, I must have missed it with all his big government liberal policies blocking the view of his libertarian positions.

No way there were fewer voters than in 08. No way.

I know it's hard accepting that your establishment shoved the worst candidate ever down your throats, but they did and he lost. Once again, the GOP finds another candidate who smelled so bad that they wouldn't even hold their noses to vote for him.

Why is it that our neighbor, Canada, has legitimate voter ID laws and we don’t? Can you answer that?

No, I can't. Maybe you could ask a Canadian?

Abortion, homosexuals in the military and Boy Scouts, he explained everything away as states rights, even his Romneycare and gun laws, he was definitely not a social conservative, his governorship even gave us homosexual marriage, he helped bring porn to the Marriot Hotel chain.

Ann Coulter calls him the most libertarian republican candidate in history, and her list probably covers other areas than mine.

Romney’s campaign was fake, and unconvincing.

The draft evading, anti-war liberal candidate from a family which has NEVER served in the military in 170 years of living here, turned war hawk. The man at the center of two illegal alien scandals over 11 years, as defender of the borders.

The guy who looted the treasury for the winter Olympics and gave us Obama care as the anti-tax, anti-Romneycare candidate?

The man who rejected the pro-life platform, and wanted to homosexualize the military and the Boy Scouts?

The guy who attacked Reagan and claimed he was pro-abortion, and who dissed Palin and conservatism and the tea party?

The guy who identified gun owners as crazy nuts, the pathological liar?

The guy who lost to Jimmy Carter the second?

The cult leader guy who actually thinks that he is in the process of becoming a God?

Calling romney a libertarian makes as much sense as calling Genghis Khan a pacifist. And ann coulter is an giant preying mantis wearing a blonde wig.

I think Romney lost because he came across as stiff and boring. He didn't motivate people to vote for him because he was too worried about playing it safe. That strategy got him most of the anti Obama votes but not much more.

Although I admittedly am not a medical man, it was quite difficult for me to tell if this Mormon Milquetoast Bland-o-Rama was alive or dead. Seriously. Did anyone ever hold up a mirror to his nostrils, slap him, pinch his cheeks? Any reaction? I blame the loss on The Mormon Milquetoast going into some sort of "Prevent Defense" when the Rocket Surgeons who ran his campaign told him he was "ahead" after the first debate. The Mombasa MF gave him a tremendous opening on Benghazi in debate 2, which Mitt muffed. I also remain unconvinced that fraud was not a major factor in the Marxist Mulatto's wins in those "Swing States." BTW, I am a Sore-Loser!

Maybe just a loser ...
