To Vilify Israel, NYT Claims Slain Terrorists Were Journalists
Breitbart ^ | 11/20/12 | William Bigelow

The New York Times, in its reprehensible campaign to vilify Israel and whitewash Hamas, has resorted to lying about terrorists Israel has killed by pretending the targets were journalists.

The author, one David Carr, reported in a piece titled “Using War as Cover to Target Journalists” that two senior Hamas terrorists Israel killed last week were “journalists.”

Carr claims that the two terrorists, Mahmoud al-Kumi and Hussam Salama, were cameramen for Al-Aqsa TV, which is run by Hamas. They were supposedly covering the Gaza conflict when a missile struck their car.

What Carr didn’t report was that the two men had spray-painted “TV” on their car to masquerade as journalists and mask their terrorist identities. Muhammed Shamalah, (also referred to as Slama) was the commander of Hamas forces in the southern Strip and head of the Hamas militant training programs. The precision air strike by Israel was a hit on a terrorist leader.

But the Times wasn’t done; they claimed that the two men, as “cameramen for Al-Aqsa TV,” a Hamas propaganda outfit, should have had journalistic immunity from attack. Even if the two men were journalists, which they were not, the U.S. State Department classifies Al-Aqsa TV as a terrorist organization.

I didn’t think journalists were smart enough to fire a rocket at Israel!

‘All the news that’s fit to lie about’ is closer to the truth.

I don’t have a problem with Israel killing them either way.

mountainlion~:” I didn’t think journalists were smart enough to fire a rocket at Israel! “

Sure ! That’s why all the journalists are in shcool playgrounds , next to mosques , hospitals , etc.
Then the ‘journalists’ complain about civilian casualties
and ‘collateral damage’ .

In a way, many journalists pose a greater danger to a Nation than do terrorists. I consider this true for America. They are the termites that tear down the foundation, while we focus on intruders that might breakdown our front door (forget the backdoor — we leave that wide open ... an act that is also supported by our ‘journalists’).

Speaking of the New York Times it is a danger to America.

It is nothing more than a propaganda source for leftists and terrorists.

It is a tool of the liberals who wish to destroy this country.

The NYT probably won’t report the fact that the Egyptian court just issued a death sentence for 8 people, several of them Americans, whom the court found to be responsible for the dread “video.” Two of them were to be expected (Nakoulah and Terry Jones, the big Obama scapegoats) and the others ranged from a couple of American Coptic priests and activists to a journalist.

I guess we should just be glad that the NYT doesn’t get to sentence opposing “journalists” to death. And to heck with the faux Palestinian “journalists” - I read in the Spanish press, btw, that Hamas had a weapons dump in the basement of te supposed “press offices,” thereby setting up its narrative.

“journalistic immunity”

Dream on, fools, dream on. Were it up to me, there would be a bounty on journalists.

The U.S. media has done more damage to our country that the terrorists could have ever done on their own.

I don’t have a problem with Mossad taking care of David Carr and others like him. The ‘journalists’ in the MSM are every bit as responsible for the damage to our Republic as the grifters in Congress and the Executive branch.

If a second CW starts in this country, I hope everyone on our side understands that “journalists” are the enemy

All the guys at the rocket launching sites in Gaza and the West Bank are “journalists” that happen to work for Hamas. And the NYT point is?

“... they were gerbalists.”

Isn’t that something like saying, “Don’t shoot us—we weren’t drug dealers, just the piano playing pimps in the whorehouse.”?

If they and their news bureau were armed, then that eliminates their claim as “civilian” journalists.
