Thanks. I had forgotten that fact!

I don’t know if it is even possible, but it is being proposed on the petition site, so I thought I would refer it here for comment.

The petition for recount on the same site is up to almost 115,000 and adding more each hour. That is just the people who are willing to put their information out there. http://www.petition2congress.com/8222/petition-recount-on-2012-presidential-election/

There is also another one calling for a new election that isn’t getting much traction. http://www.petition2congress.com/8269/urgent-new-presidential-congressional-election/

Can they pick Sarah Palin?

This is ABSOLUTELY BOGUS - and is AT LEAST the third thread about this since the election ...

Its NOT about 1/3 of the STATES not voting - its about ENOUGH ELECTORAL VOTERS NOT VOTING for their pledged candidates [Obama and Biden], in order for it to go to the House [for PREZ] or the Senate [for VEEP].

Since Obama [and Biden] have 330 electoral votes locked up - AT LEAST 61 of THEIR voters would have to REFUSE to vote in order for NEITHER political ticket to get a majority.

THIS IS THE ONLY WAY IT GOES TO THE HOUSE AND THE SENATE ...

Don't believe me? READ Article II, Section I AND the 12th Amendment of the Constitution ...

No — if the vote devolves to the House, representatives of 2/3 of the states form a quorum.

Obama has a majority of the electors appointed, so unless you convince them to stay home, you’re out of luck.
