Absolutely not true! There were sections of the barrier islands that were impassable either from structural damage or from a major ruptured gas line.

The house I used to live in is gone.

I now live about 15 miles inland, and got hit with a double whammy. First Sandy and then got dumped on by 12 inches of snow. Lost power both times. Second time was the longest.

Anyone spreading rumors is buying into a lie!

I'm still cleaning up.

Peco from Pa. got my power back the second time. I saw trucks from N Carolina, Kentucky, and W Virginia amongst others.

Also people should read the article.The 80 billion was a request from Bloomberg. It had nothing to do with NJ.

The article you linked refers to NY. As I said days ago, that very well may have happened there. I read where one utility worker on LI was assaulted. Nothing like that happened in NJ.

NJ had its own problems such as looting and price gouging. Although, this was not on a grand scale. There were National Guard and out-of-state policemen to help. Jersey wasn't perfect, but the story about non-union utility workers being thrown out just was not true.
