Politicians hate being held accountable for their votes. Alan Simpson couldn’t be elected to any office in the Republican Party today and he soooo resents that.

Norquist deserves to be criticized for his support of muslim causes. But they are using that issue to get out of their no-tax pledges.

Repubs knew about Norquist’s sympathy for arab causes all along. They are only just now criticizing him for it, because they want to make a deal with Obama who is the original muslim sympathizer.

No Repub should ever have to make a pledge not to increase taxes, it should be in the DNA that you push for a balanced budget. These guys are dying to make a deal with Obama at any cost.
