PHOENIX — Immigrant rights advocates filed a lawsuit Thursday that seeks to overturn Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer’s order denying driver’s licenses for young immigrants who have gotten work permits and avoided deportation under a new Obama administration policy.

There is no federal drivers license, or federal law that mandates that states make drivers licenses available to illegals. Obama has no power to mandate that the states do so. Under the enumerated powers in the Constitution, the 10th Amendment reserves powers [not granted to the President or Congress] to the states.

Arizona can tell the illegals to go pound sand - its a states rights issue ...

If tax-free transportation bond revenue-—issued by govt authority-—is used for illegal purposes, that could be of interest to the ever vigilant IRS, the SEC and the FBI.

Might be wise for anti-license groups to buy one or two state transporation bonds——would give them legal standing to sue.
