Vice President Joe Biden appeared at the grand opening of Washington, D.C.s first Costco Thursday morning, meeting with co-founder Jim Sinegal and CEO Craig Jelinek and most importantly, searching for pies.
Biden, who re-activated his Costco membership yesterday, declared Im looking for pies as soon as he got a cart, perusing the bakerys offerings while shoppers gathered around him.
Biden, who also gathered a number of childrens books intended for a charity in Delaware, resisted attempts by employees to bring him into the tire department, saying Hey man, I dont need tires. I dont drive anymore.
The vice president ended his shopping with the books, fire logs, an apple pie and a 32-inch Panasonic television.

When does the boycott start?
Check out the campaign contributions of Costco’s CEO:

I do believe I saw a trend
Then why aren’t they encouraging Wal-Mart employees to quit and get jobs at COSTCO?
There is a costco planned for Sugar Land - I’ll bet they don’t pay $17 an hour in Texas....
No surprise there. When Obama came to WA for a fundraiser, he went to the Costco CEO’s house.
I bet the $17 an hour thing is not true, probably the numbers for expensive places like NYC
Costco-Obama is not a surprise. Costco’s connection to the Rat party has been noted on FR for many years. I am not a member, nor would ever be a member.
From what I understand their wages are pretty good. When they opened here, it was the most popular place to apply. Folks drive up from Milwaukee and further. I am disappointed with their CEO’s party affiliation, but I do shop a lot there. Their pumpkin pie is really good. Their return policy is the best and electronics warranties are terrific.
If a shift supervisor is making $12 an hour, I know the regular employees would be making less than that.
Biden, declared Im looking for pies
Shove em in your pie-hole, Joe!
How apropos that the word “pork” is just above his head in the photo. Just a thought...
Well, they were making $17 hour here.
No, no, no, Joe. They were planning on doing one of those African-style lynchings.
I’m sure $17/hr goes a long way in DC.
For me, It’s no longer about a boycott.
I just can’t stomach patronizing merchants that support the socialist agenda.
It literally make me nauseous.
So it comes natural after awhile to avert these merchants.
Instead of COSTCO, I patronize Sam’s club.
