Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has never been a friend to Israel. Today, speaking at the 2012 Saban Forum on US-Israel Relations, a liberal organization, she railed against Israel for supposed insensitivity, lack of empathy, and lack of generosity with regard to the Palestinians – even as the Palestinians unilaterally violated all agreements with Israel and attempted to declare statehood, and within days of Hamas firing rockets on Israeli population centers and bombing a bus. Here’s what she said: So, look, I’m not making excuses for the missed opportunities of the Israelis, or the lack of generosity, the lack of empathy that I think goes hand-in-hand with the suspicion. So, yes, there is more that the Israelis need to do to really demonstrate that they do understand the pain of an oppressed people in their minds, and they want to figure out, within the bounds of security and a Jewish democratic state, what can be accomplished.

If you gave all of Israel to the Palestinians and moved every Israeli to Sinai, within a generation, Sinai would be a thriving paradise and Palestine would be a hell hole requiring assistance from the world.
They would tear the place apart, remove every reference to Judaism and Christianity and trade every piece of copper or anything else of value for rockets to destroy Sinai.
Best solution, give Gaza to Egypt and move every Palestinian who wants a free Palestine to Egypt.

How does one “negotiate” with those whose only desire is to see you die, who say quite openly they will break any agreement as soon as it is convenient? In fact, what is the point of such negotiations?
On a similar but less existential level, what is the point of our negotiating with North Korea? We know in advance they won’t keep any treaty they sign, so what’s the point of negotiating one?
Historically speaking, was there any point to Indian tribes negotiating a treaty with the USA? Few if any of them were kept.
