Um... are you a science major? Have you actually seen what science students actually do at the undergraduate level in colleges today?
I was originally a chemical engineering major, but switched to computer science. However, I had enough chemistry classes to have a minor in chemistry. However, it’s been many years. I was looking at the curriculum for chemistry, and it’s similar to what I had to take. I’m sure the equipment is better than what I had, and we had cool equipment when I was in college.
My son is thinking of switching to physics after taking an astronomy class. He goes to the observatory for his labs. He loves it!
I know we don’t have an observatory at our home, and he is doing a lot more than he ever did in high school.
