(Well, it would take a minor miracle, right? And if they can get "lule-ville" out of the spelling of "Louisville," who knows how creative they might be on Jan. 2?)

Enjoy your week.

I will try to leave you in peace for a while...(You don't have to like me; yet I don't have to go out of my way to 'provoke' you either)

I think it’s shallow, perhaps desperate, for a guy to go mining for such posts

I didn't "mine" it, it's been in a file folder since August, I didn't ping you with it the day after the election. It was so utterly ridiculous a post that I saved it, by the way, I thought at the time that it was out of character for you plus that quote about wanting segregated schools too.

I considered at that time you were either some old coot blowing smoke or a kid that didn't know your ass from the proverbial hole in the ground but I found out on this thread that you're 64 so your age doesn't fit either way, since I know how old you are, I'm 67 myself but know better than to utter completely asinine things about the future that I have no intentions of filling. Like I said earlier, that's a liberal thing.

At best you are a Republican and I'm not.

He can always go to lunch with Harry Reid and Pelosi! I still can’t get over him accepting to have lunch with Bozo, who peed on him and his family for months on end, and who is systematically destroying this country! Just amazing! I am so done with all of this BS!!

Any insults you got from me, you deserved.

There was very little point in arguing any of the issues you brought up today. Other than when you attacked me or tried to talk down to me, I agreed with ‘some’ of the issues.

As for abortion, it was a gamble with Romney. However, babies are no better off today, not with Obama killing them for the next 4 years.... it will be even worse after Obama appoints a SC judge or two. One might argue that Romney would do the same, but I doubt it... and with Romney, we might have had a chance to stop or at least slow down this insanity.

After you said those nice things at the end of this post, you know that I can’t just walk away without saying thanks, so thank you and I wish you the same wellness.

The only vote that I regret in my entire life was in 1992, at the last second, in the voting booth, breaking my vow not to vote for H.W Bush, I despised his presidency and those six or so massively destructive bills that he signed, but I went ahead and punched his hole.

I am so glad that I did not vote for Romney, I will always be proud of that.

“Stop calling yourself “conservative”. “

Ok, but first you have to get Jim to quit calling himself a conservative. You do that... and then we can talk. LOL

I voted for Palin in 2008. This year, once the primary was over, I was for Romney over another 4 damn years of that bastard Obama. In 2016, if I am still on this side of the dirt, I might as well vote for Hillary or Michelle, right?

Heck. it might be easier if we just skip the election thing...it’s old fashioned, people show up that shouldn’t, people that should vote don’t, it doesn’t seem to work all that well..... and we don’t need an election in a Socialist society.

See you down at the EBT line. ;>)

I do not know why I am not getting through to you...maybe it’s because you’re so darn old.

If I could, I would already be living on a boat and headed to a friendly country with warm waters, just as soon as it was safe to do so. My wife wouldn’t have it. I tried to get her interested 11 years ago when I retired, but she loves her dirt. For physical health reasons I probably shouldn’t do something like that now, but for mental health reasons, it would be good, and if she would have given in, we would be shopping right now.... I truly don’t like this country anymore. The worst part for me is I don’t see it turning around.....sad.

You keep bringing up JR, where has JR been pushing Romney since the election, where does JR defend Romney?

JR couldn’t stand Romney and only had to finally capitulate as the owner of the forum and take a stand as is required of leaders, but there was never any love there, at all.

You are an entirely different story, you are pretty devoted to the Massachusetts loser.

You are devoted, yet the election is over and now we need to drive Romney out of any position of prominence, influence and power, and even elder statesman respectability, do you think that JR disagrees with that, or with your slavish devotion?

You think Mitt is “nice.” I assure you as one who has been bombarded by all the campaign garbage he heaped upon anyone conservative, that there is nothing nice about him, unless you happen to be a liberal. Then he will be very nice to you. He only trashes conservatives. He bows and kisses the feet of other liberals.

So if you see him acting nice, you know he’s running against a fellow liberal. But as already has been stated, we have no reason to continue any form of support of Mitt and his socialist ways. He refused to fight Obama and lost, so we no longer have to excuse his liberal behavior.

How dare you accuse me falsely of something you know nothing about. Why don’t you just shut up? The election is over - we lost - the marxist won and you can feel good about yourself. Presidents don’t make abortion policy anyway, now do they? It was handed down through the Supreme Court. And Mitt didn’t have to do a thing about the pro-gay stance, now did he? Zero took care of that for everyone.

Some of you holier-than-thous on this thread make me sick to my stomach. I’m not the one who has to answer for killing babies or promoting the homosexual agenda.

The damage to conservatism was done long before Mitt got the nomination or have you had your head in the sand? We got McCain 4 years ago and then another RINO this year.

Our man? You are one sick puppy. He isn’t going to get involved in politics again and if he does - then its his business, but I’m sure that he won’t be in a position where I’ll have to ever vote for him.

Your attitude is sickening, you know that? The stench is coming from the one who got elected, yet that doesn’t seem to bother your puritanical views, does it?

Mitt lost - get over it and leave me alone. Mitt was my last choice for the candidacy, but like Mark, Sean and Rush, we all wanted the communist out of the WH. Apparently, you didn’t, so shut up!

So, is your soul clean knowing that this country re-elected a marxist? You probably voted for zero. Leave me alone with your pure and holier-than-thou attitude. Some of you on here are downright sickening, and you are one of them.

And, how many on here are defending what we are stuck with in obama? Like I’ve said to others - your pure and holier-than-thou attitude is a stench in God’s nostrils. I doubt that many on here support abortion, and Mitt couldn’t do a thing about it anyway - remember? Its the law of the land according to the Supreme Court and Roe vs. Wade.

Lord, some of you are sickening. You’d rather have someone in office who hates this country. At least Mitt loves America, which is probably more than I can say about you.

If I could, I would slap you across the face for even posting that I have a pro-abortion stance.

And it sounds like you need exorcised from your judgmental spirit - oh ye of superiority.

You know nothing about any of us on here or our reasons for voting for Mitt. I hope you are happy with the next 4 years, but hey at least, you have your Pharisee attitude going for you.

Nope. Voted for Romney. It wasn't a hard decision to make.

I still wish conservatives overall would have stuck to principles and not voted for Romney. The end result would have been the same as it is now, Romney loses either way but a 25 Mil vote loss would have sent a message to the liberal wing of the party, they were once called "Rockerfeller wing", would have gotten a loud and clear message - No more Doles/McCains/Romneys.

Party over conservative principles has to stop and yes, that includes everybody who voted for "the lesser of the two evils", I've never been unclear about that.

You are as aware as I am that the owner could boot me with one or two key strokes, why would I knowingly disparage him? He did not arrive at his decision easily and I'm sure you didn't either but in my opinion it was still a wrong one for a conservative to make

A message must be sent to the various "talking heads" in the republican party. If not now, when?

Already there are elements of the party in high places saying that Mitt was too far right to win and we need an even more left leaning candidate next time. How far left can a candidate be, if Romney wasn't left enough for them? His record speaks for itself and what he says changes from day to day, he was the worst candidate ever representing the republican party and he lost to the biggest failure of a president that this country has ever had.

Back when Romneybots were being booted for being Romneybots Jim said of Mitt that not only was Romney awful as a republican but was not even a man, and that Romney should get on his knees and beg forgiveness from God for all the baby killing that was made easy because of his policies.

I see on F.R. all the time, people saying what a "good man" Romney was/is. No he isn't, he's the author of Obamacare among many other atrocities.

There were 4 candidates on the ballot here in Illinois, no write ins unless they are pre apprved here in Illinois. Dem, Rep, Libertarian and Green Party. I voted for the Libertarian, I knew he didn't have a chance so I voted for the Libertarian. I couldn't live with myself if I voted for Obama or Romney. My wife tells me that she voted for Romney. Either way it made no difference at all for Illinois' electoral votes.

I don't bear animosity towards anyone, though animosity does slip through in some of my posts, I'm fighting it though. If I'm angry at people for voting for Romney, I'd have to be angry at my wife too and that ain't gonna happen, I've been married to her since I was a baby and she has tolerated me, it's the least I can do for her and besides, tomorrow is our anniversary. 47 years? I don't know, I have to ask her.

May God bless you all richly as He has me and mine.

And it sounds like you need exorcised from your judgmental spirit - oh ye of superiority.

(Did it EVER dawn on you that for you to accuse another of having a "judgmental spirit" involves a "judgmental spirit?" ... And you tossed in "superiority"...also "judgmental")

That, my friend, is known as self-refuting language...accusing others of something you're doing right on the spot!

So...which direction are we to go? "Don't judge" per your words? Or "judge" per your actions??

Frankly, if you want to rail against me for exercising discernment, be my guest.
