I doubt that many on here support abortion, and Mitt couldn’t do a thing about it anyway - remember? Its the law of the land according to the Supreme Court and Roe vs. Wade.

Reagan & Bush were able to implement the Mexico City policy, keeping $ out of hands of intl abortionists...whereas Clinton & Obama rescinded those policies.

I guess there goes your lack of discernment on this issue.

In theory, a POTUS appoints pro-life Supreme Court justices. Remember?

If I could, I would slap you across the face for even posting that I have a pro-abortion stance.

Kinda like saying: "If I could, I would slap you across the face to show how life-protecting I am."

Yes there are some bad features to Romneycare——nearly all passed over Romney’s objections and vetoes.

The gist of Romneycare however was quite brilliant: Redirect Medicaid funds already directed to the state to help low income people purchase private health insurance. NO NEW TAXES, NO EXPANSION OF STATE GOVERNMENT. Brilliant if you ask me. Precisely the opposite of Obamacare.

Thanks for the mention. That’s a fairly decent salary too.

So all Romney supporters are “depraved”..really. Well I guess in your eyes the ones who supported Romney are just depraved and the ones who voted for Obama are really depraved. Don’t know what to say cept “get thee to a nunnery”

You belong a nunnery or mabe a girls high school clique. Considering you quote another poster, insult them and do it behind their back.

How dare you accuse me falsely of something you know nothing about. Why don’t you just shut up? The election is over - we lost - the marxist won and you can feel good about yourself. Presidents don’t make abortion policy anyway, now do they?

What did I "falsely' accuse you of?

And Mitt didn’t have to do a thing about the pro-gay stance, now did he? Zero took care of that for everyone.

Romney was way ahead of Obama, "" One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clinton’s “don’t ask, don’t tell, don’t pursue” military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nation’s military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share.""

The election is over, you don’t have to keep promoting the liberal, pro-abortion, gays in the military, homosexual scout leaders, anti-gun, Romneycare, Mitt Romney any more.

Yes there are some bad features to Romneycare——nearly all passed over Romney’s objections and vetoes.

Romney didn't even bother to try to veto some of its most objectionable aspects:
Taxpayer-funded $50 abortions...coverage of abortions beyond what the court mandated (rape & incest coverage)
Permanent Planned Parenthood rep on oversight board of Commonwealth Care

Romney has long been in bed with Planned Parenthood. Attended a fundraiser of theirs in '94; his wife Ann gave a donation to PP in '94.

Responded to PP voters guide in 2002 with pro-abortion responses.

After his POTUS run halted in Feb 2008, Romney went back to Marriott board ... the next thing you know Marriott is on the boycott list for giving $ to Planned Parenthood!

But again, one of the worst aspects of getting govt more fully into the healthcare industry is inevitably taxpayers wind up funding more of the abortion industry.

In case you needed a revelation, hey, that's what BIG GOVT does!

You can keep pushing the pro-abortion arguments, but after Mitt Romney won the nomination, he rejected the pro-life party platform, and returned to his pro-abortion position.

Once Mitt took leadership over the pro-life party he started dismantling the pro-life platform, and exerting his power to do what he could to promote abortion.

Your fighting for him isn't honest, when you try to tell people that he couldn't do anything in regards to abortion, and he wasn't even president yet, he was merely a candidate.

Of course you didn't read all of my post -- you didn't have the guts. Not once have you offered up an example of Romney being any different than a liberal Democrat in his actions and record -- not what he SAID, but what he's DONE. You've got zich, zip, nada, a big fat donuthole, becaue Romney has always been a functional liberal Democrat regardless of his official party affiliation. Again, what's the point of being a Republican if Romney represents "Republican"?

Romney ate you for breakfast. You think you voted for "love of country," but you VOTED FOR EXPEDIENCE. You let pure fear and panic manipulate you into voting for a liberal, albeit one who was registered as a "Republican." Like buying an American flag made in China.

BUT, now that [Obama] has been GIVEN another 4 years, with your help ...

Oh, cut the crybaby crap. I see you STILL have not come up with any examples of how Romney's actual record has ever reflected "conservative principle." Obama got another 4 years because of vote fraud -- the fact that Romney offered ZERO measureable alternative in any way except that based on pure emotion, namely abject fear of Obama, didn't help. You approach dealing with Obama on a 100 percent emotional gut level of fear and loathing. Reason tells me that electing liberals always has bad consequences; emotion tells you that a kneejerk reaction of voting for a liberal registered as a Republican is "better."

As for Clinton, another poster (I forget who) has often pointed out that Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney are very much aligned in their positions on the major issues. So if Hillary switched to the Republican party, what would be the dif? And how would electing liberals keep this country from being destroyed? The phrase "jumping from the frying pan into the fire" comes to mind. Better to stand and fight Obama than roll over and surrender the Republican party liberalism because it lacked the courage to face down Obama.

You can’t argue the merits, so you must resort to flinging empty insults. THAT is what is required to defend Romney from a “conservative principle” point of view.

Truth is truth to truth-tellers.

To spinmeisters, truth is either bashing -- or as you put it, ripping.

The idea is NOT to "rip" posters themselves; the idea that RINO ideas -- and accompanying RINO apologetics aren't worth the effort we see put forth on this thread: As Ansel12 framed it well in post #154: The election is over, you don’t have to keep promoting the liberal, pro-abortion, gays in the military, homosexual scout leaders, anti-gun, Obamacare, Mitt Romney any more.

There is no political reason anymore for supporting Romney.

Amen, and exceptionally well-said.

Really? Cut and past an insult I've flung at you along the lines of your "Get Lost" and "Bite me" that you've posted to me.

You lack any facts to dispute that Romney is a liberal who should be on the Democrat side of the aisle instead of OUR side -- so you sling insults, while I have written about how Romney's ACTIONS and RECORD confirm his solid foundation in liberal principles.

You are an empty suit.

Hey! on further reflection, I realize that I ATE YOU FOR BREAKFAST! {^)

You answered "Get lost" in answer to my challenge to you to list some examples of how Romney's actions have illustrated his "conservative" principle.

I replied: You can’t argue the merits, so you must resort to flinging empty insults. THAT is what is required to defend Romney from a “conservative principle” point of view.

Your scintillating, intellectually insightful and though-provoking response:

You’re projecting. LMAO @ you....

In other words, I ate you for breakfast. :^) Would have been better with catsup.

#1, you mentioned a generic "other poster" that said Romney was too decent for the times. There was no reason to ping you as I was referring to your straw man and not you. I can quote generic phantom posters all day long. It doesn't mean they exist.

If you were the "other poster" you were referring to and obscured this fact by anonymously referring to yourself in order to gain support for your viewpoint, then I could see where you thought I was specifically referring to you. I could also see where this would lead you to throw a hissy fit because you were overly sensitive to the statement.

I am truly sorry I insulted the generic phantom poster you were referring to and didn't name, nor ping. I am deeply troubled that I did so behind said unnamed poster's back. Perhaps it is you would be at home in a girls' high school clique since talking about your imaginary friends evidently bothers you.

Quoting Shakespeare may make you feel self important and that you somehow have the high ground, but given the temper tantrum context, it just makes you seem like a pompous ass and adds little more to your argument than making it painfully obvious you are a pompous ass. This is especially so when you attempt to quote literary art and fail to make coherent sentences while doing so.

Well I guess in your eyes the ones who supported Romney are just depraved and the ones who voted for Obama are really depraved.

You would guess wrong. Romney supports abortion and so does 0bama.......the babies are no less dead and therefore I view them as equally depraved.

Furthermore, I never said "Romney supporters." I said just imagine the depravity of who is saying it.

In other words, whoever the phantom poster was that said "Romney was just too decent for the times." You are the one trying to ascribe the blanket statement of all Romney supporters; not me.

Since you appear unable to grasp that words do have meaning, I am guessing you worked closely with the faggot marriage, baby murder supporting Etch-A-Sketch's campaign and that his ability to make spineless "evolving" statements has rubbed off on you?
