Are you sure his dad never marched with MLK? I know he was involved in the civil rights issue and did march - not sure if it was with MLK or not. This is true.
Did you know what Obama’s abortion policy was on election day? How about his policy on infanticide? I’m not saying that it is ok to be pro-abortion, but I believe I heard Mitt say he was in favor of abortion for incest, rape and if the health of the mother was in jeopardy, so yes, this is the policy I heard him put forth.
So, I’m assuming you voted for Obama - the biggest liar of all? You can deny it all you want, but your posts say otherwise. You are harder on Mitt than obama.
Weirdly enough, Romney was criticized by the media for being too conservative. I've run through a lot of theories about why Romney failed. What I've settled on is his persona. If Romney had the regular guy personality of GWB, he would have won. Blue collar Rust Belt Reagan Democrats would have turned out for him. His patrician air and comments about firing people and the 47% ultimately put the kibosh on his candidacy. Nobody wants to elect his immediate boss for President. Next plutocrat who runs needs to tone down the patrician stuff - it sank Kerry in 2004 and it sank Romney in 2012.
First, your social liberal, pro-abortion candidate lost the presidency, in an election that the republicans couldn’t lose, so I don’t know what you are gloating about.
Of the Senate races the great news is Palin’s winnin two for us, Ted Cruz, and the GOP’s only Senate pick up, Deb Fischer in Nebraska.
Senate incumbent, Pro-choice Scott Brown, lost his senate seat, and of course pro-choice Romney lost to Jimmy Carter the second.
Akin won a three way (almost equal) split in the primary and the GOP campaigned against him and Romney had no coattails, Mourdock was the only Senate candidate that Romney endorsed and did campaign ads for, but he lost also.
Because he has the money. California essentially has two classes now. The wealthy and the poor. The middle class is being run off through taxes and regulations.
Yes he would have.
His tax policy (cutting rates across the board by 20%) would have created millions of jobs.
His energy policy-—drill baby drill-—plus all of the above including coal, natural gas, and nuclear would have added even millions more jobs on top of that.
His repeal of Obamacare would have saved and/or restored millions of full time private sector jobs in addition to all of that.
Adding a budget expert and entitlement reformer like Paul Ryan to the ticket would have insured the sound reform of Social Security and Medicare well into the future.
Romney would have protected our military and enforced our border and immigration laws.
Romney was INFINITELY superior in so many ways. He would have made an outstanding president. A CEO-in chief, a man who understands business and the private sector and how jobs are created, the need to restrain spending and grow the econmy.
Romney was just what the doctor called for. But the patient opted for more morphine.

Well, it’s too bad he didn’t win. He would have made a great president, no doubt. Alas, the country is far too stupid and selfish.
However, had we just reconsidered NEWT and/or not stumbled over the Santorum/Newt split vote issues. In MY eyes, Newt would have been the guy. Say what you want, but he would have held up, would have provided the most succinct and intelligent commentary and argument ...and who knows, he maybe would have brought out each and EVERY single conservative who DID NOT TURN OUT for Romney.
Blame the stupid American voters, but we also have only ourselves to blame for putting up a weak candidate. Why do we do this? THIS is the one thing conservatives need to work on ...or at least meditate on, as time goes by.
And where is Newt now? He’s not in hiding — on the contrary, he’s still out there, plugging away and supporting truly conservative principles ...like he always has.

With each passing day, I am more convinced that the voters in this country, including many so called conservatives, truly deserve another 4 stinking years of Obama.

I am completely convinced that regardless of whom the republican candidates might be, if Clinton runs, she will win. Heck, considering the electorate of BOTH sides, even Michelle might have a very good chance of claiming the White House.
We now have the most ignorant electorate in the history of American elections. I believe we have the most corrupt government and media our country has ever seen. In any case, Americans got the country it apparently wanted and a country it so richly deserves.
I was for Newt during the primary. I voted for Romney in the general and if our choices were the same tomorrow (Romney vs Obama), I would vote for him again. I would have voted for a can of soup over that white hating, country wrecking, lying and arrogant black bastard son of a communist whore, Obama.
Now for those that didn’t support our country and contributed to the Obama win, you may kiss my white backside. Some apparently take great delight over the Romney loss, but they can’t honestly do that without, at least tacitly, celebrating Obama’s win. Again, Americans got the country it apparently wanted and a country it so richly deserves.
As for what Romney is doing these days, I can’t seem to care. He certainly doesn’t need to make a living, so he is likely enjoying life — and that is good.
Will a perfect man run for president in 2016? I sure hope not, the last perfect man was Nailed to a Cross.

Although George Romney marched in a large Civil Rights march in Michigan, MLK wasn't there. The Romney campaign essentially conceded the point when the campaign's official 'correct the rumors' page said that Mitt was lying about George Romney 'marching with' MLK, because George Romney's marching in support of Civil Rights constituted marching with MLK.
Another issue is that Mitt was not in Michigan when his father marched. When pressed, Mitt walked back his statement and said that it was only a figure of speech when he said he 'saw his father' march with MLK.
Yeah, sure is awesome that Mitt’s “prophecy” was wrong. Now we get to endure and try to survive four more years of an economic retard.

Too many quirks associated with Newt....too many marriages....too many affairs....too much fodder....didn’t he sit on the sofa with Nancy Pelousy? Didn’t he call Paul Ryan’s plan “right wing social engineering”? He abandoned Georgia to become a beltway creature (like Santorum). One of his businesses went bankrupt during the campaign. And Newt and Callista took a long vacation to the Greek isles in the middle of the campaign.
Newt....a good debator,...a good author.....a fine sense of history, and keen intellect all true..... But also a man of little discipline or management skills.....who left his job as Speaker under a cloud.....the man who publicly pouted when Bill Clinton didn’t let him ride on board Airforce One......Newt would make a fine author, a fine history professor, a fine talk show host....very interesting and entertaining at times....but not very organized or disciplined.

A group of grumpy retirees that we have a meal with at a restaurant regularly I’m sure voted pretty heavily for Obama; because they’re DHIMMICRATS & proud of it. It’s grating on me; and I fully expect them to soon start grumping ‘cause their kids are being laid off. . and, if the restaurant goes up a nickel on their prices; we’ll hear about it. I’m practicing saying “Tough!”.

This election was more than Obama vs. Romney...tho the reductionists cannot see that.
To them, it seems it's all about the personality cults. The cult and anti-cult of Obama; and the cult and anti-cult of Romney. Even the FREEPER constituency from April to November of this year ran on ONE...count 'em ONE anti-personality cult principle: Anybody But Obama.
This is the same principle that will arise again...perhaps every election...The Dems will ALWAYS run somebody horrifically horrid; and FREEPERs like yourselves will rally behind the (r) guy because while he too may be horrid, but hey, he's "less than horrifically horrid." And, of course, we'll hear the refrain, "Nobody's perfect."
For the FIRST time in the history of elections, we had 98% of people who voted for big govt...voted for abortion...therefore, our country was "done" once the early Spring primary dust settled. In April I was saying there just aren't enough liberals in this country to vote in the 90 percentiles for one of two liberals. Obvioiusly I was wrong.
Now that the GoP-e knows with absolute certainty that the tea party and social conservatives and libertarians will always "bow" to a RINO running, why not just fold the conservative tent NOW and quit pretending that conservativism is even alive anymore. It's a "conservativism" that STANDS -- actually STANDS -- for very little, anymore.
Y'all go live in your big tents which you have help to build with your own two hands. But as tents go, they don't do well when a Florida storm or hurricane comes, now do they?
