Boehner, GOP Leaders Purge Conservatives from Powerful Committees
Breitbart News ^ | 3 Dec 2012 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 12/03/2012 6:26:04 PM PST by Veritas_et_libertas

House Speaker John Boehner and GOP leadership have removed several conservative House members from their respective powerful committee positions, Breitbart News has learned.

Effective next Congress, leadership pulled Kansas Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp, Michigan Republican Rep. Justin Amash and Arizona Republican Rep. David Schweikert off committees from which they could exert conservative pressure on fiscal matters. Amash and Huelskamp were pulled from the Budget Committee and Schweikert from the Financial Services Committee.

Huelskamp, a freshman elected during the 2010 tea party wave, thinks the leadership move to pull him from the powerful committee is revenge for him standing up for conservatism. “It is little wonder why Congress has a 16 percent approval rating: Americans send principled representatives to change Washington and get punished in return,” Huelskamp said in a Monday night statement. “The GOP leadership might think they have silenced conservatives, but removing me and others from key committees only confirms our conservative convictions. This is clearly a vindictive move, and a sure sign that the GOP Establishment cannot handle disagreement."

In before the wave of Freeper GOP shills vowing to hold ‘feet to the fire’ and castigating any of us not bowing to the ‘only’ party ‘we’ MUST support....

Who would of thought conservatives were not welcome in the GOP?

I’m laughing at recalling all the GOP party hacks who lectured us (and some still do) - about how we need to work within the GOP and change it with Conservatism by “holding their feet to the fire”.

The GOP is as infiltrated with the enemy as the DNC is. It’s not just treason, it’s enemy collaboration. What Breitbart is reporting, is what many of us warned you all would happen immediately after the election: political purging of Conservatives. Tuesday at the RNC in August should have made that point clear, but too many cannot allow themselves to accept the truth. Conservatives are as despised and hated by the GOP Ruling Class as the MarxoFascists in the DNC hate us.

The GOP have become the Judenrat of our generation. Make NO MISTAKE. That is exactly what they are. They will carry out the extermination of Conservatism through the dictates of the MarxoFascists while posing as the party of opposition.

The GOP is no longer an opposing party to the MarxoFascists. They are a collaboration party that will assist the Democrats in purging Conservatives and conservatism from any voice in the country.

Also - we are PAST THE POINT of elections fixing the path we are on. The ballot box, if anyone was paying attention - is useless. It is only a mechanism to to create an illusion of choice and corral the masses to obedience of the behemoth state they will force us all to worship.

Most of us have no clue what time it really is.

I will (strongly) take issue with that.

The GOP is now the Democrat Party, except not quite so much.

Both are anti-American and sell out American workers.

To heck with that. Get American jobs growing, get the American economy strong, and stop selling out our nation.

Darn it.

Whats to take issue with? We agree.

But FR is lousy with GOP shills that blow a gasket at the mention of the obviously required new party. We need to rid ourselves of them or embrace the plantation. No other options.

This is the year.

There is no future I see, in the current GOP. It is shrinking, and will eventually dissolve.

The coming election is the one.

Someone needs to get busy very soon. A whole lot of us are ready for something different.

I’m for Palin, but I would accept someone else.

But I’m about fed up with the GOP.

Apparently the Rino purge of ‘08 wasn’t good enough to convince these losers who runs this republic!

Time to give them what they earned with their lack of respect and honesty.

2014 should be another purge like 2008 but with more graphic video!

No political party could survive the defeat that the Republicans just took. Dead Whig walking.

There has to be a reshuffle, and a "new deal" so to speak.

I’m with you 100%.

But whatever happens... NO GOP LOYALISTS and NO SUDDEN CONVERTS.

The tea party was torpedoed when GOP ‘names’ walked in and claimed leadership roles.

Or we accept them and the process gets coopted from day 1. Hard truth folks. And totally correct.

You’re right. The GOP are posers.

It will take nothing less than a modern day William Wallace (and all that implies) to bring about the change we need.

But don’t mind me, I’m sure I do not know of what I speak. /S

Time for a real 3rd party.

No, it's time for real primary challenges by people who know how to actually campaign.

Huelskamp, a freshman elected during the 2010 tea party wave, thinks the leadership move to pull him from the powerful committee is revenge for him standing up for conservatism.

Members who are able to raise lots of money for the party do not become victims of this kind of revenge.

There are two kinds of Republicans, Federal Republicans and State Republicans. At the state level conservative Republicans are doing just fine. Our war is with the poofy haired Federal Republicans.

I just took a totally assinine survey from ebay. All the questions were about "greenness" and "sustainability". Anyhow, towards the end it asked which party you most often vote for. The choices were Rat, Republican, Indendent, or "Other (Libertarian-Tea Party)"

How many Tea Party folks are isolationists and want legal dope? I wonder who the dumb ass was that thought THAT choice up!
