So - what can “we” do? I get flamed mercilessly when I suggest its time for the TEA Party/Conservatives to join forces with the real Libertarians (not the idiot dope-head libertarians) and leave the GOP.

You accept that some people like lying to themselves and just keep doing what you know is right. You know, keeping the ‘principle’ and living it/them, just as they told us not to do.

Because we see how well their abandonment of conservatism worked for them a month ago. This is their attempt to save the face they threw away.

What don’t you like about the Libertarians? I could never vote LP because they are pro open boarders, pro free trade, pro abortion and pro homosexual agenda. Other then that I like them. I particularly like the idea of ending the war on drugs. Sending billions of dollars to Mexican criminals don’t not strike me as a very good idea. Nor do I like no knock laws, illegal searches or (illegal) property seizures.

It may well be time for the Tea Party to become a party. They can operate like the Conservative Party of New York State: running the Republican only when he or she is conservative enough. Otherwise they run their own. Let the chips fall where they may.
