Researchers at Boston University have discovered 28 new cases of chronic brain damage in deceased football players — including 15 who played in the NFL — more than doubling the number of documented cases connecting football to long-term brain disease.

The NFL players include two Hall of Famers: running back Ollie Matson, who played 14 seasons in the 1950s and 1960s, and Colts tight end John Mackey, who played 10 seasons and once served as the head of the NFL players’ union. Both died last year after suffering from dementia

1) Head traumas = Threatened Lawsuits
2) Threatened Lawsuits = Demise of Football
3) Demise of Football = Rise of Soccer
4) Rise of one-world-sport of soccer = rise of one world government
5) Rise of one world government = end of freedom

If we can't save football, we at least need to dump soccer as fast as we can to break the chain of one-world domination and enslavement.

Only touch football is ‘safe’.

Professional football is a violent sport; a hitting sport. Anyone who’s played the game knows how high emotions can run during a game.

Strong emotions from some of the most competitive men in sports with big bucks on the line will never result in safety during play.

Sure, minimize the potential damage to the players, but ya gotta let ‘em play.

Both died last year after suffering from dementia.

How do they know it wasn't a consequence of Onanism?

If we can't save football,

The advances in protective football headgear just hasn't kept up with the increased speed and weight of the participants and ferocity of the game. I believe there will be significant improvements in helmet construction in the near future.

When I played we were taught not to use our heads as battering rams.

I’ve discovered several HUNDRED cases of brain damage and dementia right here in Washington, D.C. in Congress, the White House, and some of the JCS.

Just listen to Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Clyburn, G. Johnson, and Debbie Wasserman Schulz. Then run for the nearest bone cutter.

Frontal lobotamies for all of them, care of Obamacare. Now, that’s a plan I could support.

Those are all genetic or self inflicted.

Anyone who has watched a television player interview would not question whether or not there is brain damage in the pro ranks...

Not necessary. Players have to be trained not to use their head and helmet as a weapon.

The plaintiffs in the lawsuits against the NFL will likely win their cases or the NFL will have to settle with the former players.

If and when the case is settled in the former player’s favor, the NFL will be forced to change aspects of the game that pertain to helmet to helmet contact or take even more drastic action.

Unfortunately I don't think that will help. Some of the people studied were from the "good ole' days" when players weren't as big or quick or strong. Their helmets weren't as good, but they had less to be protected from.

Also, soldiers have damn good protective gear, or at least I hope so. When they get caught in the blast of an IED or grenade, even if they escape injury from shrapnel, their brains are partially scrambled from the shock wave.

It would take some really amazing technology to absorb enough of the shock from collisions to prevent the brain from sloshing around and being injured.

In our not too distant future we will either be rooting for tiddlywink teams or virtual footballers.

Boo hoo.

If you think soccer is safe and dumb, you haven’t played it right. American Football players wouldn’t last 10 minutes in a REAL football match.

It's neither safe nor dumb, and certainly requires a lot of cardiovascular excellence.

However, it is a sport played by most countries of the world, most of which are outright or pseudo socialist.

If we're all playing the same sport then there'll be even more calls for us "playing by the same economic or social rules", i.e. becoming more socialist.

The only hope then would be from the ranks of the soccer hooligans.

I'm an overweight wuss so I'd probably do better in a socialist bureaucracy, but I'm still sane enough to prefer anarchy to Kafkaesque futility.

And if there is a better metaphor for Kafkaesque futility than a Nil-Nil soccer match I haven't seen it.

That really doesn’t make any sense.

The NFL (sports) and the military are the last institutions to be attacked by Cultural Marxism... They’ve just about got them conquered.

What’s left?
