After doing a little googling, this story is not inconsistent with what I was told. Frankly, after all the trouble the Ron Paul faction has caused here in Iowa, I’m somewhat sympathetic to the position of getting rid of them but I really don’t know any more details than this. We have a bunch of Ron Paul kooks here in Iowa who took over the SCC and has caused nothing but big trouble since it happened. They also went to the convention in Tampa and cast Iowa’s votes for Ron Paul when they had no right to do it. http://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2012/12/the-friends-of-ron-paul-congressional.html

Now, what should the new Conservative symbol be? Eagle, Grizzly Bear, Husky? (The Bull Moose failed in the early 1900s).
Eagle for Liberty! I do like the Wolverine too. Perhaps the Gadsden flag?
