Disheartened Obamaphiles Should Just Stop Talking (Proof that Democrats Are Just Plain Stupid)

It’s hard to know whether to cheer their disappointment or commiserate.

My natural inclination is to tell them to S*** *** **** ** considering that they have subjected us to four more years.

From Michael Goodwin, Obama 2: Even more reckless:

People weren’t paying attention. Those are the people now surprised that President Obama is still stridently campaigning instead of doing the real work of governing.

Even some who voted for him last month are puzzled as he threatens to take the nation off the fiscal cliff if Republicans don’t give him the tax hikes he demands now and puts off entitlement reform until later. He even wants to increase spending.

I’ve talked to people who supported him, and their surprise is surprising.

Both are smart, accomplished men, but I’m baffled that they didn’t see this coming.

“I thought he was going to move toward the center after the election,” one stunned Obama backer told me. Another said he believed the president’s positions were opening gambits and he would compromise. “It’s the first round,” he insisted.

From Ralph Nader back in September, reflecting the progressive angst that Obama is more abusive than GWB (h/t @danriehl):

From Glenn Greenwald:

For the last four years, Barack Obama has not only asserted, but aggressively exercised, the power to target for execution anyone he wants, including US citizens, anywhere in the world. He has vigorously resisted not only legal limits on this assassination power, but even efforts to bring some minimal transparency to the execution orders he issues.

This claimed power has resulted in four straight years of air bombings in multiple Muslim countries in which no war has been declared – using drones, cruise missiles and cluster bombs – ending the lives of more than 2,500 people, almost always far away from any actual battlefield. They are typically targeted while riding in cars, at work, at home, and even while rescuing or attending funerals for others whom Obama has targeted. A substantial portion of those whom he has killed – at the very least – have been civilians, including dozens of children….

The result is that, for so many, it is genuinely inconceivable that a leader as noble, kind and wise as Barack Obama would abuse his assassination and detention powers. It isn’t just rank partisan opportunism or privilege that leads them not to object to Obama’s embrace of these radical powers and the dangerous theories that shield those powers from checks or scrutiny. It’s that they sincerely admire him as a leader and a man so much that they believe in their heart (like Obama himself obviously believes) that due process, checks and transparency are not necessary when he wields these powers. Unlike when a GOP villain is empowered, Obama’s Goodness and his wisdom are the only safeguards we need.

My conscience and hands are clean.

People weren't paying attention? What a sorry, pathetic, excuse. The most important election in memory and people aren't paying attention?

What do you have to do to get people's attention in a time like this? I just don't know. I will say that that the GOP is at least partially at fault for their less than adequate candidate in the guise of Mitt Romney. The GOP candidate offered very little wiggle room for Democrats to choose Romney as an alternative candidate and were stuck with what they had. And in the morning, waking up to what they've done, they come up with all sorts of stupid excuses why they voted for Obama, knowing deep within their conscience that they were reelecting someone they inherently knew was wrong, hence the buyers' remorse and yet IMO couldn't see themselves voting for Romney, a lot had to do with religion which they wouldn't reveal to pollsters.

Seriously, that is a whole new level of stupid that can never, ever be fixed.

Obama fakes like he is going to do something, only to do what Obama does best, nothing. It’s a game that works for him because Republicans keep jumping at the fake, and the media steps in to carry the ball. Anyone expecting a game change on Obama’s part has somehow missed the past few decades of lessons from Affirmative Action. This isn’t about showing up for work. It’s about doing nothing and calling it work. ...Liberals should quit their whining. The game is fixed, and it will go their way with Obama taking a ride.

It’s going to be Hell to pay. I wonder if there is a way for those of us who voted against this creature to be passed over when the divine punishment arrives?

That is, they're view of reality is so narrow (something they accuse conservatives of) and simplistic its laughable. 2) While liberals accuse The Religious of Holier Than Thou they themselves practice it w/ great zeal. In fact they could write the book on it. 3) At its core (rotten as it is) the liberal 'philosophy'/world view is one w/ a (mistaken) view of moral, ethically, mental, intellectual etc etc superiority, better than certain classes they deem inferior. As such they see nothing wrong w/ ruling over them even to the point of force at the end of a gun barrel. (Oh yes! Liberals have no problems w/ guns as long as you can't own them.) They view themselves as pure and perfect betters in every way. You can never ever hope to talk sensibly to this sort of person. I think its futile.

The religious issue is such horsesh!t as an excuse why Romney lied.

Baraq Hussein Ubama was raised by an agnostic mother and two muslim fathers. He boasts a “healthy skepticism of organized religion” and attended the Church of God Damn AmeriKKKa for 20 years.

He has such a hard on for infanticide that he wants babies that survive abortion to die sucking for air unassisted over the course of hours in a broom closet.

He has pushed the homosexual agenda at every turn and promoted Islamist imperialism around the globe.

Now anyone who CLAIMS to be a Christian voting for such a beast under the guise that Obama is more Christian than Mitt Romney is a jackass and lying to themselves.
