Borrowing a suggestion from Triple on a different thread — Conservatives should announce that they are voting for Allen West. If the GOP rallies behind that, then we get a real Conservative speaker. If the GOP does not rally behind that, then Nancy Pelosi becomes Speaker. Let Boehner choose.
I thought the speaker had to be a sitting member of the House.

West for speaker - or you get Pelosi. Yes - it is hardball.
Boehner started it with a purge of conservatives from committees.
Conservatives need to flex and exercise their muscles.
