Congress votes to strike lunatic from federal law
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/congress-votes-strike-lunatic-federal-law-191704327—election.html
Washington doesn’t like “lunatics,” but it seems fine with “idiots.”
The House of Representatives on Wednesday approved a Senate-passed bill striking the word “lunatic” from federal law, without removing a nearby reference to “idiot.” The vote sends the legislation to President Barack Obama to be signed into law, removing what advocates consider an outdated, offensive term for mental illness from the United States Code.
The legislation, crafted by Democratic Sen. Kent Conrad and Republican Sen. Mike Crapo, sailed through the House on a 398-1 vote. The lone dissenter was Republican Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert. Thirty-two lawmakers did not vote. The bill had won unanimous approval in the Senate in May.

We lost folks. The Three Stooges may have to change their name too at this rate .. umm,, how about The Three Republicans? ;-]
Monotonous, typical Yahoo propaganda.
.
aka ‘filler’ ,, pink slime .. lol
“said Republicans are losing the public relations battle “
LOL- they’ve been losing the public relations batter for half a dozen years now and have done nothing but fight like little girls....most learn from their mistakes and experiences- the GOPe gets dumber from theirs...

This is the only ‘game’ in DC these days.. the Wizards are 2-13. the Skins are alive and kicking.. unlike the Gop leadership...

pass the peyote.. GOPeace Party here we come again..
maybe they think they’ll be able to fly when they go over the ‘cliff’..
So if Repubs raise taxes on the “rich,” everyone, including the media, will automatically begin to love them?
Ironically, I am weighing whether I will ever vote for a Republican again.
Hmmm... So, then the Republicans can take a hit for both raising taxes AND pushing grandma off a cliff.
Wow, what a deal!
You're missing the big picture. Not only can the Republicans gain everybody's love by raising taxes, they can ALSO gain everybody's love by cutting grandma's medicare. It's just going to be a real love fest and goat rodeo for the GOP!
We’re assuming that Obama will be able to deliver his Dem stooges to vote yes for a tax hike.
Yep, the MSM runs with unsourced comments and FReepers believe every word.
Getting more and more common.
I've tried really hard for the past five minutes to come up with a dumber statement or an even more stupid strategy than what this is ... and I can't do it! Just examine the phraseology:
"beginning to see"
"possible upside"
"can then try to"
"maybe next year"
What strength ... what confidence ... what leadership ... what a crock! (yet, totally predictable).
I get your point but don’t have to “believe every word” to conclude that the Stupid Party is capable of floating such a plan ...
Jump on anything negative only because someone is "capable". That there's no proof seems to be beside the point.
I see the GOP (Gutless Outmaneuvered Party) is still folding it's winning hands.
What else is new I should care about?
Just keep your eye on the actions of McConnell and Boner between now and the end of the year and you may very well have all the “proof” you need.
I really doubt it.
These Paul-ites are just out for themselves. Ron Paul never got a significant piece of legislation passed and even though these four who no one ever heard of before this week like to talk they aren't capable of it either.
