The Pennsylvania State Police Academy is rather rigorous (at least physically) and lasts about 25 weeks, depending on the session.
I don’t think that a lot of ‘wannabe’ cops are going stick through it for that long.
Guaranteed the staff at Hershey knew he was useless and needed to be terminated. He’s a Bolden plaintiff (or would be under the old consent decree) and a ‘preferred’ demographic. It seems that the policy has been to graduate them and let the field commands do the dirty work of firing them so that the academy isn’t constantly in court.
It sucks and drags the whole Department down and especially the minorities who really work and try.
