53 + 23 = 76% of the two parties.. if those figures are accurate..

The truth “IS”... most Americans have no idea what socialism is.. and even less what communism is..
OR that communism “IS” socialism.. or that democracy is a lie..
No democracy has ever been democratic..

Democracy is the road to socialism. -Karl Marx

Democracy is indispensable to socialism.
The goal of socialism is communism. -V.I. Lenin

The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism .-Karl Marx

Great remarks.

I wrote a graduate thesis in 1974 comparing post WWII economic results of East and West Germany.

That made me a conservative. In 1976 Reagan spoke of the same comparison.

Since Reagan left the scene, few have talked much about the underlying economic aspects of the nation’s system.

The most persuasive speakers about our capitalist history and success, are either dead and gone, or not very effective.

“It will only get worse from here...good luck, patriots”

Never thought that I would need to, but, I am now shopping for my first firearm. And, I am realistic enough to know that I will be using it. I worked too damn hard for what I have.

I wish more people could come to terms with what has happened to our once great nation. We allowed our population to fall to the same evil scourge that my Dad and millions of others fought and died to save us from because we allowed our principles and values to be watered down little by little.

Your wife is so right! Everyone should liquify their assets and use them for the good of themselves and their loved ones while they still can. To work and innovate so that a greedy, lazy, covetous majority can enjoy the fruits of your labors will only enable them to become stronger and more in numbers.

So many are in denial but it doesn’t change the fact that our nation has fallen and will not rise above this mortal wound. If there is any hatred by us, it shouldn’t be directed solely at Barrack Obama or the hijacked Democratic party. Much of it should be reserved for every shiftless, cowardly, low-life American who sold out their proud American heritage and birthright for government handouts and the chance to blame their troubles on someone or something besides themselves. Such human sewage isn’t what we have spent our blood and treasure to uphold and protect. Neither should decent, hardworking Americans consent to helping support them with the fruits of their labors.

If only the real supporters of the economy would find a way to put their assets out of the reach of this evil majority and let Obama and his Socialist/Marxist regime take care of their own perverted, godless voting base! Their lives literally depend on robbing and pillaging the goods and possessions of those with values, principles and a work ethic.

May you and your family be blessed.

Henry Wallace FDR’s VP..

Even more damage was done to Wallace’s campaign when several prominent journalists, including H.L. Mencken and Dorothy Thompson, publicly charged that Wallace and the Progressives were under the covert control of Communists.

most of the people I know and work with would gladly pay 50 cents more for a pizza to have it made and delivered by someone who could go to the hospital if they needed to, or even just stay home sick with pay instead of being part time with no benefits.

The solution to that has nothing to do with governance, and the fact that your coworkers sympathesize with it shows they have no understanding of economics, history, or human nature.

In America, no one is supposed to be delivering pizza as a career. The solution is to get yourself educated, or, if a professional career isn't your bag, to start your own business or learn a trade.

The result of a "remedy" in which entry level workers are financially encouraged to remain in low-skill dead-end jobs by subsidizing them is that it creates more and more people statisfied with that outcome, lowers the overall standard of living, and forces yet again more people into that very position.

If your friends actually believe that 30 million uninsured people can be brought into the healthcare system without seriously degrading the quality of care for everyone -- including those who exploit the system by going to the emergency rooms as their primary care doctors -- and if they believe that can actually be acheived by adding 50 cents to the price of a pizza, you have an affrimative obligation to point out to them that they are complete dumbasses. And an obligation to explain why.

There is no excuse whatsoever for an intelligent person to believe that a government program will be an improvement on an existing private sector solution. There is no historical or current precedent for believing that, and there are literally dozens of counterexamples staring your friends in the face right now. Ask them why FedEx and UPS are making money while a protected monopoly in the same business just lost $15 bn.

Ask them why they will go to the DMV in the capital of their state and wait literally for hours to have some surly jackass gurdgingly provide a duplicate vehicle owners card, while a private business on the other side of the state like AAA can do exactly the same thing at the same cost with virtually no waiting. Ask them why Catholic schools are able to deliver a better education at less than half of the cost of schools run by the government. Ask them why the primary and secondary education systems run by that government are among the worst in the world, while people from every corner of the planet are still calmoring to get into the private post secondary American system. Ask them why an 18 year-old tearing tickets at a movie theatre makes minimum wage, while the government employee manning a toll-booth on the Jersey Turnpike is averaging $40,000/year plus benefits for the same job.

The compassion of liberalism is a false compassion. There is nothing compassionate about encouraging human beings to be satisfied with a job a robot can do, while guilting the rest of us because we aren't sensitive enough to the plight of the downtrodden. Pizza delivery is a job for 16 and 17 year-old kids. Raising the cost of pizza means people either buy fewer pizzas or buy less of other things, including saving and investment.

Should CEO's make less money? You're damn right they should. And making sure they do is the job of their stockholders, bondholders and directors and has nothing whatsoever to do with governance and is NO business of the government. Empowering a government with carte blanche to "do nice things" sounds fabulous ... and inevitably leads to oppression, torture, and murder. Your friends (somewhere in the piles of bodies) someday will have at least the consolation that their "hearts were in the right places" before they died.

However, unlike many, Wallace at least came partially to his senses; publicly apologized for his silliness, supported Eisenhower and then Nixon in 1960, and even wrote a book, Where I was Wrong. Unlike a great many who remained unrepentant to their graves (or in some cases to this day), he understood he had been duped about the nature of Stalin and his regime.

The masses who support socialism/Marxism do it in the abstract because they have never experienced it. Ask the people from Cuba or Eastern Europe who lived it first hand what their opinions are. These people are rightly terrified of what they see coming.

Favorable image of socialism? Then they are fools ignorant of history and or they merely want to control and subjugate their fellow man. Hey lib lurkers, name me one socialist country that has succeeded in creating a happy, prosperous society? Just one. You can’t, because it has a 100% failure rate. So all you pro socialists out there, are you stupid or just mean?

You've made his point for him. By using logic you make the conservative mistake. People are emotional and short sighted. When Moses contended against Pharaoh two magicians of Pharaoh’s Court contested him. Conjurers have always been a part of government. Something for nothing is an allure too hard to pass up for the average human being.

The irony of quoting a story about a historical composite who almost certainly didn't exist in the form portrayed in the Bible when describing people as emotional and not logical is not lost on me ... or was that unintentional on your part?

As for the rest, I disagree. The poster asserts a belief of his peers, who need to be educated. The solution is not to throw up one's hands and say, "Well, I never really tried to reach them. Therefore they are unreachable."

Sorry. I'm not interested in self-fulfilling prophecies.
