Are you moving there?

Yep! That is what I intend! I can live well on a grand a month, or less (as per my examples!) I now have four different places to check out. North of Manila, two places on Cebu, and one near Davio. AlexW is on Cebu, beachfront, I believe. He can give actual details and cost estimates. I have some friends near Manila, but it is a more expensive area.

Way to go. I would pick Cebu from what little I know. It is known as the “market Island” that grows fruit and vegetables that are sent to other parts of the Philippines.
