Detroit councilwoman JoAnn Watson said Obama should help bail Detroit out of its financial crisis. The city faces a budget deficit of more than $200 million and is deep in debt.
A Detroit city councilwoman thinks President Obama owes her city for his election victory and its time to pay up.
JoAnn Watson said Obama should help bail Detroit out of its financial crisis after its residents overwhelmingly voted him back into the White House, local Fox station WJBK reported.
Detroit faces a budget deficit of more than $200 million and is deep in debt.
"After the election of Jimmy Carter, the honorable Coleman Alexander Young (the former mayor of Detroit), he went to Washington, D.C. He came home with some bacon," Watson said at a City Council meeting Tuesday. "That's what you do."
"Our people, in an overwhelming way, supported the re-election of this president, and there ought to be a quid pro quo, and you ought to exercise leadership on that," she added.
WJBK noted that nearly 75 percent of Wayne County voters cast ballots for Obama last month.
President Obama will travel to Detroit on Monday as part of his campaign to avoid a broader U.S. budget crisis, an administration official told The Associated Press. During his trip to the Motor City, he will push his proposal to raise taxes on wealthy Americans as part of a plan to avoid the looming fiscal cliff.

With all those muzzies residing in Detroit, along with all the Holder’s people, I would NOT be surprized if Odumbo does bail them out.
...and they vilified Rush for pointing out 0bama got re-elected by voters that expected bacon from him.
Sounds like a state problem. Michigan clean up your own mess! Perhaps Stevie Wonder could have a Farm Aid type deal for Detroit and see the libs love just pour out bacon on ‘her’ people. Thug Aid sounds about right.
