You’re missing the #1 point. The ONLY reason we are having a crisis here is because the debt ceiling is about to be reached. The rest is of no consequence to this administration.
My point can still be a huge factor too in the fight.
Until the House Rs call Os bluff and extend those tax cuts in a separate bill to the Senate (they can send two separate bills covering all the taxes to protect themselves) Obama will use it as a club to beat over Os head everyday.
In fact I saw it AGAIN on a Sunday show debate again today: Republicans try to talk about entitlements, the Dems say those are fine and that the only problem is the tax increase on the middle class because the House Rs are ‘
holding the tax cut extensions hostage for EVEN MORE tax cuts for the rich’ exact words. Dems love having this weapon.
As I posted many times : call his bluff and cut those taxes and send to Senate with nothing else, then when he says that's not enough and demands more with it Republicans can repeat over and over on TV ‘ :
stop holding those tax cuts hostage Mr POTUS. The American people are on to you’
