I wonder is Jason Whitlock realizes that he couldn’t be more wrong.
At the end of the Civil War, people (mostly the KKK) were afraid that recently freed blacks would have guns;so gun control legislation was put in place to prevent the arming of blacks. The NRA saw this for what it was and supported gun ownership by anyone, including and especially recently freed blacks as a Constitutional guaranteed right.
The left is still afraid of allowing blacks to have guns and the NRA is still advocating gun ownership by any law abiding citizen who desires to own a gun.
