AAPS: Is ObamaCare Here to Stay?
AAPS News December 2012 - ^ | Dec 5, 2012 | AAPS staff

Democrats are exulting in their narrow victory on Nov 6, saying that ObamaCare is “now a certainty,” and the “best is yet to come” as they implement their glorious promises of healthcare for all. The fact is, however, that key parts of the Act are not in effect yet and may be blocked at the state level.

By refusing to create exchanges, states can effectively repeal much of the law, sparing citizens from the job-killing employer mandate, assaults on religious liberty, and in some cases the individual mandate (WSJ 11/19/12)... People could find themselves having to pay back a subsidy, writes John C. Parker. A $6,000 increase in income could mean the loss of $10,000 in health insurance subsidies. Divorce may be the only option for obtaining affordable insurance for children and the lower-income spouse (WSJ 10/31/12)...“We know that an employed physician is less productive than a practice owner,” said Mark Smith of Merritt Hawkins (AM News 10/8/12). The effect of these changes could be the equivalent of losing 44,000 physicians over the next 4 years (Forbes 10/8/12).

I am afraid we are in collapse and in the process of digesting what that means.

I believe it may mean that the assumptions of “yesterday” may be fatally flawed. This column assumes there is a Rule of Law, that states have rights, that court’s and the Constitution can still prevail.

I am not so sure of that holding anymore. Trying to make it hold will not be tolerated by this regime in power, with the numbers in their favor.

Their are now more in the wagon than there are pulling the wagon, and these in the wagon are willing to fight against us to stay there. I think it’s called communism.

The law of economics is more powerful than any law passed by the legislature or created by executive fiat. The question is whether we will pass through an anarchical stage before transitioning to a Leftist tyranny. During an anarchical phase, we may have an opportunity to defeat the Leftists through separation or replacing the Leftist/communist dictatorship with a dictatorship that promotes the free market (a coup?). Admittedly, restoring the republic through the current political process seems to be a remote pipe dream.

The game of Jenga comes to mind. http://www.amazon.com/Hasbro-53557-Jenga/dp/B000GBA60W

“The rules are simple enough for the whole family to play: just stack the blocks into a tower without letting it fall
It’s fun for all ages, too, as some blocks from the bottom of the tower are pulled to make it taller
Who will make the tower fall? Great for Family Game night”

Dear Lord, I HOPE IT'S NOT HERE TO STAY. But the mess that this dear country of ours is in.....all bets are off. If we didn't have the guy in the white house now, it would have been overturned, but unfortunately that was not to be........AND if the AARP was not on the “inside track” with the bunch that is so called “running the show “ I might be a bit more optimistic about getting rid of that terrible thing...but as it is.....all bets are off.

I'm sure AARP guys , the ones running that thing...are clapping their hands and slapping each other on the back, since their deal early on of jumping on the bandwagon of ObamaCare. Last time I knew, we STILL have a CONSTITUTION, BUT the way it's being run over ROUGHSHOD, by the gang that's running the show....and getting by with it so far....I'm not that optimistic at all....One could say, I feel like a small “voice in the wilderness”. SMALLER GOVERNMENT IS STILL THE ANSWER.

I hope you are not confusing the AARP with the AAPS (American Academy of Physicians & Surgeons). They are total, 180 degree opposites.

Communism....maybe, but I think the actions of some of the ones who are “hell bent” to take our country down to the level of one of the 3rd.world countries is bordering on Socialism. I'm not sure, but I fear that there are indeed more people with their hand out, wanting to get payback from the Fed Gov. than there are proud workers paying in to the “kitty”.....and I'm not talking about the dear souls who went to work one morning only to find out they have lost their job...also, not talking about the ones who have been so affected by Sandy, the storm.

The guy in the white house must seem like a dream come true to those sitting on their rump trying to figure out how to outwit the eligibility requirements....and it must not be too hard to do.

Well, I sure thank you for your response, as I went back and read the headline .; I could swear it had said AARP.....but no , when I went back to the article, it did indeed say AAPS...and I do surely apologize for my mistake. I am sure sorry....and I am really glad I’m not a betting person....or I think I wouldn’t be a very good one, as I would have bet and lost on this for sure. Thank you for pointing out my error.

I agree with your precise statement, gg.

The question of anarchy is beginning to circle around “when-not-if”.

The new faces are too new and too late. Rubio, Ryan, etc., etc., still don’t want to call a spade. Either they have no wisdom, and are lost in the delusion of politics as usual, or they are in on the fix, for the sake of power and their own self preservation.

I am not saying they are evil, but simply out of touch with reality that no political kabuki can reverse this, imho, not the courts, congress, not the ballot box. Yes, I am very pessimistic, left waiting on a revolution— a civil war.
