California teachers union video features ‘rich’ urinating on the ‘poor’
Eagle News ^ | December 4, 2012 | Kyle Olson

SACRAMENTO – A new video produced by the California Federation of Teachers – which could be playing in your child’s classroom as we speak – drums up the typical class warfare images we’ve come to expect from Big Labor.

“Tax the Rich: An Animated Fairy Tale,” written by CFT staffer Fred Glass (2011 compensation: $139,800) and narrated by proud leftist actor (and 1 percenter) Ed Asner, advocates for higher taxes on the “rich” as the cure for government’s insatiable thirst for spending.

The video claims the rich got rich through tax cuts and tax loopholes and even tax evasion.

But when the 99 percent fought back, the “rich” apparently urinated on the “poor,” at least according to the video. What a classy way to frame your argument for children, Big Labor.

The video also claims that when the housing market crashed, the government printed money for “rich people” but they didn’t give any to “ordinary people whose houses and jobs were broken by the crash.”

That’s a patently false statement, as evidenced by a handy-dandy chart courtesy of the New York Times. Here’s a sampling of what was contained in President Obama’s $787 billion stimulus package:

- Help states prevent cuts to essential services like education – $53.6 billion

- Extend and increase unemployment compensation – $35.8 billion

- Health coverage under Cobra – $25.1 billion

- Increase food assistance – $20.9 billion

- Increase the maximum Pell Grant by $500 – $15.6 billion

- Provide cash payment to seniors, disabled veterans and other needy individuals – $14.4 billion

- Provide additional money to schools serving low-income children – $13 billion

- Provide additional money for special education – $12.2 billion

- Create new bonds for improvements in public education – $10.9 billion

And the list goes on and on.

I just recently posted an article that 6 in 10 young people want a bigger government. It's no surprise why. The education establishment makes sure to teach the kids that the rich are evil, and the Republicans want to help the rich. Hence, the Republicans are evil. This can be taught in school, but Heaven forbid Jesus be mentioned.

Oh I’d say that’s accurate, especially when one considers how many filthy rich corrupt bastards work for the us federal government.

I have a son who was all in for Obama.

All it took was 10 minutes with his paycheck stub and a calculator for me to convince him the government was screwing him.

He was shocked to see what his money could be doing over his lifetime if he controlled it VS the takers in Washington

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Get your kids out of public schools at all costs.

They've abandoned teaching, it's time to bail on them. If they were actually teaching, there might be an argument for keeping your kids there, but since they've just become indoctrination centers, they need to be abandoned. There's no fixing them at this point.

First of all, today's Democrats are REALLY Socialists and the cartoon should state that.

The cartoon should CLEARLY illustrate what the union/Democrat/Socialist relationship is and HOW it works.. That unions are mutually-gratuitous MONEY-LAUNDERING OPERATIONS for the Democrat/Socialist Party.

Secondly, the cartoon should also show that union-controlled teachers produce more Democrat voters by WILLFULLY AVOIDING teaching children HOW AMERICA IS SUPPOSED TO BE so as to facilitate their student's acceptance of SOCIALISM.

My initial reaction to the cartoon was a roll-of-the-eyes, considering how ludicrously ham-fisted it was. It’s more akin to Soviet-era propaganda films than anything you’d normally encounter in America’s past. This country used to be way too savvy for such blatantly manipulative fare. You’d expect this kind of thing to be pushed in some sort of illiterate, dumbed-down, uneducated third-world locale by budding communist revolutionaries. The grass-hut circuit.

But then I remembered, along with the re-election of Obama, that this indeed represents the cultural depths America has decayed down into. Things are sinking. And sinking fast.

“California teachers union video features ‘rich’ urinating on the ‘poor’”

There’s a audio or video out there somewhere of a teacers’ union offical saying (pretty much) screw the kids, they don’t pay union dues.

If only I could remember who it was...
