WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Superstorm Sandy likely put a dent in U.S. employment growth in November, temporarily interrupting a recently established trend of modestly rising payrolls.
Nonfarm employment is forecast to have increased by a paltry 93,000 jobs last month after advancing by 171,000 in October, according to a Reuters survey of economists. The unemployment rate is seen holding steady at 7.9 percent.
November's anticipated job count would be the smallest in five months. Economists said the slowdown will reflect the effect of the late-October storm, which battered the densely populated East Coast. A snap back is expected in December.
"Sandy is going to depress payroll employment growth in November, but I expect it to rebound in December," said Gus Faucher, a senior economist at PNC Financial Services in Pittsburgh.

Hey, weather is unfriendly to communists.
Look at the unbroken string of crop failures the old Soviet Union had due to weather...
Hurricane Obama will dwarf any natural tropical storm insofar as the level of destruction. Eat it up New York.
ATM Machines cause Hurricanes? News to me.
Imagine the meeting, somewhere in the NY-DC corridor, a group of Ivy Leaguers hatches this idea and agrees: “People will actually believe this.”
so true. no storm can compare to the damage he is doing.
They would have no reason not to think that way. We are doomed, I truly believe that.
...”We are doomed, I truly believe that”...
I do not believe we are there just yet for I think a backlash is growing against the lack of checks and balances in our government and for not holding our leaders accountable for the natural consequences of their own behavior and actions. They are not surrounded with enough power and celebrity just yet to ward that off. I hope I am right. Rand Paul has it right. He believes all Republicans in Congress should vote “present,” and let the Democratics have and OWN their beloved tax increases. Do not stand in the way of their folly. They won. Let the country feel where their governance takes us. It is the only education the ignorant will ever get about the consequences of voting.
Go read the story above this one... liars lying for their liar in chief... the muslim radical that hates America.

It’s simply amazing that, after a move to classify it lower than it was, to save Insurers money, they keep calling it “Superstorm” Sandy. Compared to Katrina, Sandy was not nearly as destructive. We had our power on in 4-1/2 days after Katrina - I bet there are still folks in the N..RE. without power. Proof positive that the People in a disaster area make much more difference than the government.
Blaming the loss of jobs on a Hurricane instead of the election of a Muslim to the White House.
The Media is our worst enemy today.
Setting the stage for an "unexpected" news article about bad unemployment in December.
“Nonfarm employment is forecast to have increased by a paltry 93,000 jobs last month...”
I’ll wager those were temp jobs for the holiday season and will be goine in January. Same for any increase that may be seen in December.
Why didn't the SCM (state controlled media) call Katrina, "Superstorm Katrina?" Heck, it had a bigger storm surge, higher winds, and more rain than Sandy
Oh, and why wasn't Shep Smith et. al. out on Staten Island crying?

My brother lives in this building and only has power because a couple of large generators were brought in. Each apartment has an extension cord from which they can run a heater and a light. The boiler will have to be rebuilt before they get hot water or heat ... or the laundry room. And the entire building has to be rewired. At the Mayor's request, the Tide truck has stayed away and there isn't an open laundromat on the entire peninsula.
