Labor Participation from Reagan to the present. When Reagan took office it was 63.9%. As of November 2012 it is 63.6%.

As I read this chart, only a scant 64% of Americans, 16 years and older are actually working? Good Lord. And you know until you hit the people in their mid-20’s and up, those below that are most likely only working part time and most likely with NO benefits.

We are SO screwed.

I like that chart. It would be nice if there were tagged unemployment rates at different spots so we can see, for example, an 8% unemployment rate at one point versus an 8% at another point.

Is median household income tracked on a monthly basis? I do know of a couple people who found work last month, but as others have suggested, it is part time work at basement wages — much lower income than what they were laid off from...
