Unemployment Plunges to 3.8% for Government Workers; Government Adds 35,000 Jobs in November

The unemployment rate for civilian government workers plunged from 4.2 percent in October to 3.8 percent in November, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, as government added 35,000 to its taxpayer-funded payrolls during the month.

In October, federal, state and local governments in the United States employed 20,524,000 people. In November, that climbed to 20,559,000.

As recently as July, the unemployment rate for government workers was as high as 5.7 percent, according to the BLS. That month, government employed only 20,015,000.

Since July, times have been very good for government in the United States, with governments managing to add 544,000 workers to their payrolls.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics counts someone as a government worker if they are not in the military and they are currently employed by any level of government—local, state or federal—or they are unemployed, they are looking for work, and their last job was for any level of government.

The parasite class is growing more powerful. The vast majority of bureaucrats in government (state, local, fed) not only do absolutely nothing to increase the wealth of our country. In reality they undertake actions to purposely destroy our prosperity.

When, not if, the economy collapses, I hope that the parasitic bureaucratic political class is brutally destroyed -- They must lose their fake jobs, their real pensions and their property. They must be left impoverished and living on the streets.

I’d like to understand how if you are unemployed you become a government worker. If you ain’t got a job you are simply unemployed. A government worker is working for a government someplace. If that person looses a job they are no longer a government worker. So how do you come up with 3.8% of them?
