Debka: Paris Sources: NATO-Arab Syria Intervention Imminent (modeled after Libyan operation)

Sources close to French Defense Ministry reported Friday, Dec. 7, that a Western-Arab military intervention against the Assad regime is due to begin shortly with the participation of the US, France, Britain, Turkey, Jordan and other anti-Assad Arab nations. (reference is to Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar’s special forces)

Our military sources add that the French aircraft carrier Charles De Gaulle carrying a complement of marines is deployed in the Mediterranean, having joined the USS Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group and at least five British warships which are also carrying a large marine force.

In the second and third weeks of November, British and French naval forces, plus 2,600 special ops combatants from both nations, performed landing-and-capture exercises against fortified locations on the coast and mountains of Albania as practice for potential operations against similar terrain in Syria, where the Alawite Mountains loom over the coastal towns of Latakia and Tartus.

The troops landing there would head for the Alawite Mts. to prevent Assad and his loyal units from retreating to his mountain stronghold and fighting on from there - as he plans to do if he is forced to flee Damascus.

French sources told Le Point magazine that the NATO mission for Syria, including the UK and the US, would be modeled on the Western intervention in Libya in 2011.

It would combine an aerial blitz with ground action by special forces for destroying Assad’s chemical weapons stocks, his air force and his air defense systems.

Dear Debka,

as far as i am concerned it is ok to use a lower case m for french and british marines, however if you are talking about American Marines please use upper case M.

Thanks in advance.

I do not, repeat, do NOT want to see American boots on the ground in effing Syria. The whole damn country isn’t worth even one American life.

both sides of the Syrian war are staunch enemies of the US. Therefore, the US should “stand down.” Not one dollar, not one Seal team to be involved.

We heard earlier in the year that the intervention was planned sometime after the Summer Olympics. That was because the few British warships were busy protecting London. Apparently they then had an additional delay because of the US elections. Since the oligarch Obama stole the election form the oligarch Romney, the progressives are now in the laughable position of cheering for intervention because of WMD's. Take a look at the Huff and Puff going all Neo Con and citing McCain. What a laugh. Good thing they made pot legal in a couple of states. Progressives are gonna need it.

Of course it’s about to begin. Thats why we had the planted breathless stories (from something like 12 confidential sources,,simultaneously) about Syrians about to use gas.

I’m half expecting to next see stories that Syrian soldiers are catching Belgian babies on their bayonets.

Then our forces will join in on the side of the Islamist Wahabbists.

Apparently they then had an additional delay because of the US elections.

What if that additional delay of the Syrian Invasion was not due to the US election, but due to the Benghazi Assault ? Maybe that was just a delaying action by Gog or East Asia depending on your point of view.

There are a fair number of Christians there that I wouldn't mind US troops saving, and even though Assad is an Alawhite, many of them aren't too bad either.

Israel and the U.S. prolonged the Iran-Iraq war by covertly aiding both sides. That was a policy that made sense.

C’mon, fall in with your president. HE wants a North African Caliphate, at America’s expense. Like Libya. Like Egypt. Like Syria and many upcoming places in the ME. All MB islamic paradises ready to swell up against Israel. At some point, Barack Hussein BinGhazi Obama’s proxies will act on Israel and if successful then they will be against Europe and America. But not necessarily in that order.

Before he is done, we WILL see multiple attacks on American soil and civil war.

Once America is removed from the equation, then the globe will go through a similar issue.

The bastard has zero forethought of the suffering he is bringing on.

NONE!

Not a word about the situation in Syria the past two days following Fox News night of breaking news concerning sarin now loaded in missiles by the Assad regime.

It’s like all media was told to “stand down” on reporting about our troops and allies rushing to the Syrian shores.

Have to wonder about the real story going on right now...
