I missed the part where the shooting happened NOT at an illegal pot growing house where the man and his son lived.
If he was defending his illegal operation from other criminals he should get life in prison. Clean sweep when there is a criminal on criminal shooting and the shooter gets put away.

Usually not legal to kill for stealing something legal either. His defense will be two masked men attempting an armed robbery. His right to defense is even finer inside his home, with his 9 year old home with him.
Just because you are doing something illegal in your house, doesn’t mean you no longer have a right to defend yourself from violence.
It’s his HOUSE and his son was there with him at the illegal pot growing operation.

He took two violent criminals off the street, and saved everyone else the possiblity of being their next victim, and/or the cost of trial and incarceration.

nowhere in the article does it say they were armed... p.s. i have no problem with them getting shot
