It says he was growing pot in his attic. My wife and I do all kinds of things that my 9 year old doesn’t know about. You made an assumption that isn’t backed up by the article because that assumption supports your argument.
If someone broke into a NY house because they were thirsty - so the owner gave them a 32 oz of soda and he shot the homeowner, all would well with the killer because of the illegal 32 oz cups. Gotcha!/s
Hopefully the guy will be charged for the illegal pot growing operation.
....
lolz... if someone has ever eaten chocolate they are hypocrites for opposing legalized drugs!
hahahhahaha
And you probably wonder why people don’t take that seriously.
You do not lose the basic inalienable right to defend home and family because of the genus of your potted plant.
Yep. A criminal will always take what is available - what is illegal doesn’t matter to them. There is no telling what they really where after - just that they are after what isn’t theirs.
“If he was defending his illegal operation from other criminals he should get life in prison”
Yeah, neat concept until some gun owner is unknowingly in violation of arcane gun law, and shoots some home invaders who came to steal. And once again, another law intended for stopping drug dealers will be turned full fury against everyone else.
Every draconian law people suggest as a cool way to fight drugs turns into another tool for the government to strip us of more freedom.
No, I don't wonder. I know.
I would call you a hypocrite, but you would take that as a compliment.
One criminal shooting and killing another criminal makes it easy for everyone. Low hanging fruit.
No new laws needed.
lol
It was so secret that these home invaders knew about it.
BTW, if they weren’t armed I guess the anti-gunners and civil rights crowd (if they were minority) will be going nuts.
It says “attempted robbery”. Thats stealing by force or threat of force. As opposed to burglary which is entering unlawfully and stealing.
Robbery is already something he can use force to defend against, armed or not. But unless some new peace fad has broken out, im willing to bet that two masked men committing a robbery against a grow operation were not going in unarmed.
eating chocolate or drinking a soda makes me a hypocrite for opposing legalized drugs that people KILL over.
......
Pot is legal there, there is no way this could possibly happen.
stupidity , that is society today.
turd pokers can marry, druggies getting high in public and growing drugs with teir kids there and we’re told to not mention social issues.
I remember a couple of years ago some idiot on here said he woudl have no problem a daughter marrying the father.
Society has gone down and those who stayed silent and told conservatives to shut up only helped America get to this mess.
BTW, For anyone saying I;m old and we’ve moved on , well I’;m not old , neither is my wife and my young children will be brought up with morals, traditions and they will speak up
Just curious - If my cousin in N.C. has his 9 year old cut and stack wood that he later uses to run his still - how much time in prison should he get for running a still with the aid of his 9 year old?
Well, you can always blame it on the gun.
If you think that there is no time that your neighbors would kill you for your chocolate or your soda, you are delusional.
Sort of short sighted for the Seattle bright lights IMHO.
Is the still anywhere near the wood cutting?
he better have a damn good lawyer and a LOT of money
Some more details.
The home was described as a “luxury” home, with a 6-car garage. The two dead perps were not known to the police, and they are trying to determine their ID by autopsy fingerprints.
The perps were dressed in black, with face bandannas, and though it was assumed they were looking for drugs and cash, that in the process they may have intended to kill the homeowner should not be discounted.
The still is on his property.
Follow up question. Two guys sneak onto his property, creep up on his still while he’s there and try to rob him. He shoots the two guys. How much prison time should he get?
