Rep. Gerald Connolly (D-Va.) says President Obama’s plan to raise tax rates for the wealthiest Americans won’t balance the budget by itself—but that’s not the goal anyway.
“Well, that (tax hikes) alone doesn’t balance the budget. It’s part of a broader plan,” Connolly said.
“A totally balanced budget is probably not what is being sought. What is being sought is stabilizing the debt in its ratio to the broader general economy—bringing it down to a much more manageable level.” …

Spot on about the Isaiah 3:4 reference. The lone bright spot is that it’s nice to see a Dem admit they don’t aim for a balanced budget.
Absolutely! It started November 4, 2008 and was completed November 6, 2012. Soon the seeds they have sown will be mature and the fruits thereof will be ripe and ready for reaping. The harvest will be extremely plentiful and bitter.
Of course a balanced budget is not the goal. The goal all along has been to hike spending up to astronomical levels so taxes would increase and could never be cut again.
I came to this conclusion after listening to excuses I heard people gave for voting for obama. Two of them come to mind: "He will forgive student loans and I have one." "We have to give him a chance to finish what he started." Another one that seemed to be universal was,"He could have done a better job if the Right Wing Republicans and Tea Party had not opposed and hindered him."
Mr. Robinson, none of members of these groups have the intelligence to breathe, much less make decisions that effect the lives of others. Never the less, via their votes they do exactly that.And that, from what I see, is where we stand as a Nation today.
And we’re fairly well done with Isaiah 3:5.
The plan to tax the rich will not tax the really rich, it will only tax the barely rich.
Believe me people like Pelosi will have a loophole big enough to drive a truck through.
Obama is clearly operating outside of the Constitution!
The only problem is it is not a tax on the rich; it is a tax on whoever the lunatics call the rich.
