Voila! From the article:
"Please, please, don't hurt us, Mr. President," goes Roskam's tiny squeaky voice. "We triple-promise to be good little establishment monkeys and play along. You're so big and brawny and buffed, why, us 98-pound weaklings just want to get along -- for the sake of the country, of course." (Steve Schmidt, cue "Dueling Banjos.")
The better question is: "Who and what are stopping Mr. Obama's drive now toward greater statism, pumped up tyranny, and not-far-off national ruin? You, Mr. Speaker? Or your craven, obsequious followers in the U.S. House?
Boehner Orchestrating the GOP’s Demise
That’s the purpose of the Judenrat. It is empowered for the purpose to help exterminate the enemies of the State from within, because the targets of extermination will see the Judenrat as their own and more readily accepts their efforts - even though the Judenrat are just tools of extermination for the Fascists.
The GOP are today’s Judenrat for the MarxoFascists.
I didn't have anyone specific in mind, unfortunately. I admittedly don't have a very good feel for the current landscape regarding the GOP and conservative politicians.
I think it has to be someone relatively young who has all of the ‘credentials’ the left values - yet dismisses these credentials as unimportant and trite. I think it is very important to ridicule the left publicly. I think this is an absolute requirement and is definitively necessary to plant seeds of doubt in at least a portion of their base. I also wonder whether it might be a good idea to rebrand ourselves to nullify the negative connotations the left has been able to associate with the term ‘conservatism’.
They have successfully labeled conservatives as ‘throwbacks’, ‘non-progressive’ (meaning not current or modern), ‘anti-science’, ‘anti-intellectual - or outright ‘dumb’, etc. I know it will sound trivial to some here, but I really believe that we start defining ourselves as “protectors of personal justice and freedom”, “modernists beyond the inevitable failures of socialism”, “anti-totalitarian”, “Defenders of individual spirituality’”. I think we should also reemphasize the idea that all of individual rights go only as far as the tip of our fellow citizen's nose. This is conceptually important because it defines why voting yourself the fruits of someone else’s labor and success is not your right, but a form of organized theft. The bottom line is that we have to characterize ourselves as what we are, the more intelligent, fair, and compassionate choice for voters.
