Freedom's greatest tool in danger
Tea Party Nation ^ | 12/9/12 | Judson Phillips

There is one tool of this modern age that we can argue is the greatest aid to the spread of liberty and freedom. This one great tool is in danger.

This is a tool that tyrants would like to see dismantled. With freedom and liberty riding on the defense led by the Obama Regime, we should all be worried.

What is this great tool and why is it in danger?

The internet is merely one manifestation of free speech and freedom of the press.

We have other avenues, assuming we don’t stupidly dismantle our printing presses.

You’d think from this article that freedom didn’t exist till a decade or two ago.

Just as in many other things, they will never stop trying to control the Interrnet. We’ll defeat this one and then tehre’ll be another ploy, defeat that and they will think of something else.

Leftists have wanted government health care for 100 years. They are patient, persistent and they just keep slamming people with it. They’ve almost won.

Meanwhile, people have to work, raise their kids, shop, get the car fixed...and these b@stards just keep worming away year in, year out. And they have it all planned way, way beforehand.

What seems to have caused you to excerpt your blog?

What gave you the impression that your blog should be posted as “News”?

I don't think that's the point of the article, the author is pointing out how freedom of expression is under attack and the regime in Washington is at best indifferent and at worst complicit.

The "author" of this blog post seems to be pretty much a tool.

A blog pimp?...

Not only that, but gets it wrong. The internet is NOT freedom's greatest tool, not even close.

The greatest tool of Freedom is speech and religion; the second greatest tool of Freedom is the 2nd Amendment, for when the former is in jeopardy.

John Boehner.

Whoops. Wrong kind of "tool".

We cannot allow the decision making for this great tool of commerce and liberty to be left to savages who do not even have indoor plumbing and who believe the answer to anyone who disagrees with them is an AK-47.

More often than the Internet, answering Tyranny with "an AK-47" yields results.

America's Founding Fathers did not have the Internet, but they did have muskets, shot, and powder that the British attempted to seize on the morning of April 19th, 1775.

Mordor-on-the-Potomac does not fear keyboard Patriots, they fear Citizens who exercise their Right to keep and bear arms and are prepared (often trained) to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

The site owner's position on bloggers and pimping is spelled out here.

And for those of you in Rio Linda who don't know how to click on a link, here's the money quote:

"I have no complaint if a good conservative blogger posts his own material to FR, not as an excerpt to drive hits and discussion back to his blog, but rather to impart useful information to OUR readers and to promote and join in on the discussion and conservative activism HERE on FR.

If a blogger can’t or refuses do that, and if he constantly complains or fights with our participants over it, then I’d just as soon he doesn’t post here. It’s not my job to make his content or his presentation or cooperation acceptable to our readers. That’s his job. And if he cannot do it or refuses to do it and continues posting brief excerpts only and obviously attempting to draw away our participants while loudly complaining about it, then I have no sympathy for his complaints and the more apt I am to ban his account and blog."

Seriously? The 2nd Amendment has done, and will do more for Freedom than the Internet ever could. Only the useful tools will be affected by the propaganda affect and they are already hopless causes. The internet is a great and convenient source of information and a vehicle for discourse, but to paraphrase an old Spenser for Hire thought, it has the potential for a lot of good, but have been relegated to a vehicle for ready access to porn.

The article assumes the internet is used for news by most people. If that were true, Obummer would have lost the last election. The quality of a Democracy will never exceed the quality of the press.

The Tea Party Nation Forum isn't a blog, it is a forum.

It isn't Thad Lost’s forum, it is Justin Phillip's forum.

Thad Lost is a member of the Tea Party Nation.

He is the author and the creator of The Tea Party Nation, one of the few large Tea Party organizations that has consistently stuck with the principles and ideals of the Tea Party Movement.

Justin traveled with the Tea Party Express on a couple of their nationwide tours in the past few years.

He spoke at tea parties all across the country.

I know him personally and he is an upstanding Conservative, not deserving of the histrionic posts that have shown up on pretty much all of the threads posted with his commentary.

Thad Lost, you should consider excerpting 300 words or so instead of just a teaser.

I'm sure Justin wouldn't mind.

And instead of mostly just posting threads, you should participate in them here at Free Republic.

That is what this site is all about and a new poster doesn't garner much respect if he or she just posts threads and doesn't interact with those that choose to post reasonable comments.

Posting back to the FreeperBeaters only encourages them so the best thing to do is ignore them and perhaps they will get with the program.

Out of respect for Justin Phillips and Free Republic please consider my suggestions.

Those of you infatuated with the words pimp and blog (I know, that one makes some of you see red) should do a little reserch before you start hijacking threads posted from forums such as Justin Phillips'.

So why does homeboy excerpt his blog material?

Why does he feel like it should be posted as “News”?

Looks like he’s seeking hits at FR’s expense.
