Think wary ~ cops are wandering about in cop suits in marked cars. i could always find one if i ever needed one ~ which was infrequent.

I think better than excellent night vision helps, plus wear clothing that allows you to blend into your surroundings ~ and don't go bothering people with firearms ~ always makes it easier to avoid trouble in the wee hours.

Just as a guideline, never enter or leave a front door of a business establishment or a government building. That just frames you for problems.
