I like Demint and respect his guts.

The question for me about his departure is not about why he is good for the Heritage Foundation, it is instead “what does Demint see that makes him choose to be the head of the Heritage Foundation as opposed to a U.S. Senator?”

My concern is there is a bigger problem ahead that he sees. Bigger than the Fiscal Cliff. (what a bad choice of words) Is there a pending “Betrayal” by the Congress looming, that he refuses to be a part of?

Frankly...given the debt grenade...these outfits (Heritage/Cato) arguments are pretty darn near inconsequential.

Isn’t this the same DeMint who said “Harry Reid is my friend” on Rush Friday? We don’t need “reaching across the aisles”, we need an aggressive opposition.
