What I think is amusing in a sad way is that the liberal media and the Republican establishment are both working together to paint the “radical” tea party as the reason Republicans lost in November. They seem to conveniently forget that Mitt Romney was the establishment candidate and the tea party was essentially told to shut up and go sit in the back of the bus as soon as Romney secured the nomination.

And Republicans are in the process of digging their hole deeper...

From the Washington Post this morning...

Obama wants $1.6 trillion in tax increases over the next decade, but many Democrats privately say they would settle for $1.2 trillion. Boehner has offered $800 billion, and Republicans are eager to keep the final tax figure under $1 trillion....

Reminds me of that old joke, "A man walks up to a women in bar and offers her $1 Million dollars to have sex with him. She quickly accepts. He responds, how about $25 dollars. The women gives an indignant snort and says, "Sir, just WHAT do you think I am?!? The man responds, "You've already demonstrated what you are, now we are just negotiating a price."

With Boehner's offer of $800 Billion in tax increases he's demonstrated to Obama that the Republican are pledge breaking tax raisers. Now they are just negotiating a price...
