The GOP agrees to raise the debt ceiling. The Dems agree to keep tax rates at their current levels.

I haven't seen that Obama is open to such an idea.

I haven’t even heard the idea proposed. I thought of it myself. But the debt ceiling issue may very well be the only ace in Boehner’s hand, it’s the ONLY leverage he has as far as I know.
