NEW YORK – “Storage Wars” may have a real war brewing with one of its stars.

Dave Hester , one of the show’s cast members, has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the show, according to RadarOnline.

In his lawsuit, Hester is claiming the series is fake, and he says when he made complaints to the network about the staged portions of the show he was fired, Radar reported.

duck dynasty is what hollyweird sees when they think conservatives.

Another “fake” reality show.

It is no different than politicians’ handlers who plop a bunch of hay bailes during political ralies in the south.

They need to buy 100 units a week to find 1 or 2 worth talking about.

Either way, it looks like a long, boring physical job, with very little payout.

Unless you have a retail thrift outlet and plenty of business connections to unload the crap that makes up 99%+ of the items you’re wasting your time.

I used to attend auctions before these shows came out ... and only bid if I could get a unit for 50% or less of the value I could see from the door. These shows ruined it ... it used to be that I would skip auctions in March/April/May because all the Haitians and Mexicans would be there with their tax return money and bid things too high... Now it’s year round.

A great paradox of our age is that the most fake programming is reality TV.

Is there anyone who doesn't know that "reality" shows are staged?

The only things about reality shows that are real are 1) no written script, and 2) no professional actors. That's it. The rest is absolutely set up.

In one part of Hester’s suit, he goes so far as to say the network paid for one female cast member’s plastic surgery to increase her sex appeal and make her more appealing to viewers.

Gee, I wonder who that could be?

Oh No! - Brandy say it ain't so

Even after the seller hears an expert say its worth $5000.

And the experts they use for appraisals are fake, as well.

That married couple on Storage Wars found a $20 blow torch and took it to an 'appraiser' (in an totally unrelated field), who promptly proclaimed it to be worth $500!!!!!!!!

Nearly all blow torches are shite, suitable for the play at home version of The Three Stooges, but some are worth a lot of money. I sold one on ebay (years ago) for around $1500.00.

Those who have watched the show since the first season know that Hester sold off his second-hand stores in 2011, and went into the auction (wholesale) business for himself. Those who watch the show know that Dave often goes home empty-handed. That can't be good for the bottom line.

I think that Dave's businesses are failing, the show's dropping him (and thus he loses a significant advertising vehicle for himself) and that Dave's out to replace the revenue any way he can. Oh look - he's started yet another new business! Dave Hester Entertainment.

I watched the show twice and thought the same thing, how was it that the same 4 to 6 people out of a crowd of 20 win bid after bid?

answer: they were the only ones there bidding, the rest of the people in the crowd were planted and getting a fee from the show to stand there and look real.

the whole show was set up, fake.. all those shows are complete fake, with fights and arguments all set up as part of a script.

Yeah, like they just happen to find thousands of dollars behind a picture frame while on camera. I watched for a while then it got old.

That kind of stuff happens though. I once bought an old -- 1979 -- motor home for $2,000 and found $200 cash stuffed in seat cushions. 10% cash rebate! ...and it had new tires, so I figure I got at least 1/2 of what I paid in cash and new rubber. :)

I was watching an old episode of “Pawn Stars” the other day and Rick Dale’s brother Ron Dale brought an old Coke machine into the pawn shop and sold it to Rick Harrison. Later, Rick took that same Coke machine to Restorations By Rick for restoration.

So, if you’re going to stage things like this, don’t cast the person in another related show a season or two later.

It is number two. The participants admit to going to lots of auctions not filmed, and other people buying lots of units.
